Great value for someone who doesn't play very CPU heavy games. I recently built a 7800x3d and 7800xt build for $1600 as I play more CPU heavy games. I got the 7800x3d on sale for $350.

Btw you could do 10 more dollars for the z790 version of that motherboard according to pcpartpicker. Though, the z790 one only supports Wi-Fi 5 compared to the b760’s Wi-Fi 6e

This video was very helpful for me, I’m going to make a few small tweaks because I’m going for more of a $1400 budget, but this video gave me a great jump off point.

Super happy about this video exactly what I needed. Might make a couple of changes for longevity such as a 2TB. Can't wait to start building it!

I almost went with a 6800xt but I couldn’t justify spending close to the same for a used card. Ultimately I’m a 7800xt owner!

Well it’s 2nd now… The 7900 GRE for $50 more is the way to go honestly

I got the 7800xt a few weeks ago upgraded from the 2070 super a big upgrade in performance I'm using the Ryzen 9 3900xt for the CPU I'm waiting for a few more generations before upgrading the CPU. the 7800xt is a great GPU i picked it over the 4070 cause of better price to performance

Getting a 4070 PC, but i really wanted to try the rx7800 out because RT doesnt matter to me and I'm a little worried abbout the 12 GBs VRAM for the years to come 😞

Would the 7800 xt nitro plus fit in this case or work with these same parts?

With overclocking options you're straight with the CPU/GPU combo, but as my boy Jason from PC Builder says, the i5 12600 is the lowest you should go when pairing with the 7800 XT if you want to avoid bottlenecks. I really like this build, we've been building with the 7800XT left and right at my store, but very rarely with Intel, the AM5 platform could have squeezed in here I think, and I would have went in that direction, but still, good build nonetheless.

@@wojtekskrzypczak6365 you'll need to change the motherboard to a B650M AM5 and ddr5 ram and you're all done👍🏼, also use an air cooler instead of the stock cooler because i heard some people are facing overheating issues with the 7600 stock cooler and the 7600x doesn't come with a stock cooler so you'll need one for it mandatory

I had seen this intel CPU for around £150 here in the UK so had planned it into my build, but the price on them has now shot up to slightly more than the 7600x so i've had to change my plan slightly and am now going with the AMD option.

is this build good for streaming as well?

Is there a Ryzen version of this build? I was thinking of a 1200 build around a 6750 xt but if I can get a 7800 xt I would rather do that and upgrade the cpu or something later and spend a good amount on the graphics card now

Is it ok to use pigtails pcie power cable for the GPU? Many people mention that the pcie power socket is only rated for 150w, and the RX 7800 XT can consume much higher than that.

Me buying a 7800xtx and seeing the lower card pulling 200fps at 1440 makes me so excited

Got a 7800X3D, with the 7800XT. Curious if I went a little overboard with the CPU compared to GPU? Reasoning for the CPU choice is my parents got it for me for Christmas. If not I was going to buy the 7600. But I didn’t want to ask them to just chip in for a higher end GPU.

How the heck do you find the rx 7800 xt at 500 dollars. In my country, Romania, the average price for it is 650 dollars. My only option is 6750 xt which is priced reasonably at 400 dollars.

For anyone wondering, the prices for these items in April 2024 have gone up. It's going to cost you closer to $1400 for all these items both on Newegg and amazon. Sad to see especially since I'm looking to spend a little less but it will still be a good computer regardless.

Getting pc parts from amazon is so dirt cheap is you would try to build it in my country it would cost double the price

I got i5 12600K for £100. But I mistakenly bought a Ddr4 mobo n RAM. Although I’m getting the ddr5 mobo at the same price only difference in RAM price. Should I go for ddr5 build or stick with ddr4?

Ddr5 is better than ddr4 and is about 2x more « powerful » but ddr4 is still great so if you already have ddr4 stick with it but if you already paid for ddr5 then go with ddr5

pairing 7800x3d with 7800xt is a bit overkill, would recommend Ryzen 7600x or 7700x and on intel side probably 12700k

Yes, that’s a mid range pc that’ll play games at 1440p with good frames, maybe not on ultra, but it’s still a really good starting point, save up while you enjoy that pc to upgrade the CPU and Ram in the future and you’re solid.

Forgot extra fans they are required that build toasty.

Im from Spain and new egg charges a lot for shipping here and on Amazon everything is way more expensive it’s so annoying

I was thinking same thing, maybe he had issues? But I Just built system with 12600kf and asus z690i motherboard. Running Klev 6400 ram xmpII profile and works just fine.

Decent budget rig, Have a 12700KF 7800XT spare rig. 12900KF 7900XTX has a bit more power but that comes with more heat, though I moved into a 7000D Airflow.

Actually after taxes, it’s 1,803.33 on Amazon, but on Newegg 1,397.10

Samsung M.2s make you pay significantly more and the only difference you get is the name Samsung on your sticker

it is very good for competitive games. But the 7700xt is not a good value for money card like the 7800xt....so if u have some extra cash , try to get the 7800xt :D ....also im not really sure about this and maybe someone can confirm but ryzen 7000 cpus performs better with 6000mhz or + ram .....

@F1agar in that case...u should be fine with the 7700xt at 1440p..

So there is something going on here. I notice that This GPU actually gets higher FPS in almost every video I’ve seen normally getting around 290-300fps in apex and almost 30-45 more fps in COD. I believe your runing in to. CPU bottleneck. I personally think the 7600x would have been the better route and honestly you can find it bundled with a MSI b650 pro motherboard for around 400$.
