Last of Us is an excellent game if you've never played it before. Think he^ means to say you're late to the party, but we don't all follow gaming religiously - there's like a hundred big titles I've never played yet

Paul is a machine, not scared to mention his opinion of the hardware. Great breakdown of the case, missing grommets but preinstalled fans. He has the eye.

I love that you give back to your community. Very a admirable of you sir Paul. Always true to self content. Hats of to you!

Very solid build for $1200. I just built something very similar for $1550 with a R5 7600X & 7900 XT with a 2TB Samsung 990 Pro. I also used a 240 mm AIO instead of an Air Cooler. The upgrade to AM5 has been awesome! Great video!

Thanks Paul! I recently built a PC for a friend of my son's along these same lines after checking your build. I did some upgrades but stuck with the same basic balance of components. It was my first all white build!! I used a Ryzen 5 7600X and a Sapphire all white RX 7800 XT. The case is the Lian Li 216, all white. I don't have all the parts yet, but am confident of the performance thanks to your video.

Also a little tip for people, that "warranty void if removed sticker" 5:05 is actually a lie in most countries like the US and EU , the company CANNOT void a warranty for removing a sticker, just a little FYI for people.

Same is true for trucks that have a 'Not responsible for broken windshield' stickers, they don't mean anything.

The 750G3 is a solid unit. I've been running mine for ~5 years now and zero issues.

That's a pretty nice case, fits everything nicely and isn't comically large. Great looking build as well.

Nice and useful build, with BEAUTIFUL music. That jazzy vibe brings the needed relaxation in these hectic times. Keep on the good work, Paul!

Fantasmic! I just migrated 2 PCs to different cases and found myself short of PWM fans. I have a few Noctua NF-12 industrialPPC-2000s that I mistakenly bought a few years ago. Needing good airflow, and not wanting to use 10+ year old fans in a new configuration (some of them makes excess intermittent noise) I put a NF-12 in one of the cases. I am pleasantly shocked to say that I can barely hear it even though it runs at 2000 RPM.

Just want to say thanks for the video, I want to build a 7800xt but have had trouble finding a good build in my price range, and this helped a ton!!

So I built my first ever pc this week and with the exact cpu and gpu and I cannot tell you how happy I am to see you apply your thermal paste that way, I’ve been panicking ever since that I messed it up, also watched you’re build step by steps and they help me massively thank you. Very informative and well explained.

I am about to build my first PC as well going with almost the exact build but I’m debating between the Ryder 5 7600x or the Ryzen 7 7700x. I’m probably going to go with the Ryzen 7 7700x. I am buying my own cooler, because I am aware the X does not come with a stock cooler. However, my question is, does the thermal paste come WITH the CPU or cooler? Or do I have to buy that separately?

Also, in the future, if I want to upgrade my CPU to maybe a Ryzen 9 7950x, would the cooler one off the thermal paste easily? Or would be take some work getting it to detach? If you would know the answer to that question..?

@@TmoneyBagz1 u have to buy the thermal paste urself, and if u were to change out ur cpu u want to use ur pc and get ur cpu to heat up rq and then remove the cooler off the cpu, u can remove it while its cold but its a pain

Thanks for this video. Last week I connected my gigabyte 7800xt and noticed the blinking logo. I thought I had a bad card or that I had not plugged the power cables in all the way. Seeing your card do the same thing put me at ease.

Great build! I'm still rocking the 5800x3D and the 6800XT. Waiting for the right time to upgrade to AM5.

love everything about this build, I recently just built a pc with the same specs, tho i would go for a different motherboard as the gigabyte b650 gaming x ax is prone to coil whine, mine had a really loud severe coil whine and when i got it exchanged for one that supposedly didn't have coil whine I was met with the same severe ear bleeding coil whine, ended up completely swapping motherboards and went with the asrock pg lightning and haven't heard coil whine ever since.

Built a similar pc recently, although with a 5 7600x for the cpu instead of 7 7700x. Performance has been great so far, being able to play games at such high frame rates at 1440p is amazing to me. Very happy with it so far

I find my cousin (had every cert under the sun worth having even was an Alpha tester for WoW) had the best advice: Hardware costs are a curve. Then suddenly spikes, you buy there, and you get a decent system. The only emption was my first R5 3600. The only 500 series boards that were out was the X570 the 550 had yet to have a solid release date. I don't even think they were announced yet. X570 purchased 5/13/2020.

Can't go wrong with the G3 line up. I've been using my 750 G3 for 4 years now. Opted for the G3 even though the G5 was out but saw to many bad reviews for the G5 line up.

VERY similar to the 2 builds I am putting together right now! Slightly higher budget for some extra argb and stuff but I have purchased most of the build on prime day/Fantastech sales. so far so good! just hoping they have some kind of deal on 7800xts soon. Wish i had bought them on back order when starfield was included now.

Very nice build Paul, with guaranteed major upgradability. AM5 is new, so huge CPU options from that excellent 7700 later (at least 2 more gens...possibly more i.e. AM4).

I'd love to see you build a 700-800 dollar rig too, because I have a feeling that's the upper limit for what a majority of PC gamers can afford, especially younger people. I don't think a more than a small fraction of PC gamers out there can afford (or wants to) shell out 1200 on a gaming PC.

If it's just for gaming, you could use the build in this video, but replace the following parts and get to within your budget, in USD: 12100F CPU Arc A580/A750 or RX 5700 XT/6600 graphics card ASRock "B760M-HDV/M.2 D4" motherboard Pixio PX248 Prime monitor EVGA 500 GD power supply

...if for productivity, not that. 12100F is a great entry level gaming CPU. It's pretty bad in most professional tasks, even compared with the less expensive R5 3600.

@@regensempai For learning to program, this build is quite overkill. Should be fine. If you're a KZread content creator, a graphics designer, etc you might find use cases for better hardware... but programming, by and large, can be done on a mid range PC from 2015. 😅

I'm in the process of building a PC that is nothing like this lol But it's great to see how powerful a $1200 PC can be. Gorgeous looking, too :D

On ssd prices; they really are so good. I just got a WD bkack 1TB for like 55 bucks. Last year i was only able to get 750GB for 70.

It would be cool if you include a benchmark for a popular/relevant game of the month so we can see what it's more or less capable of

@@dillonvillon That will be very nice. Right now we are not at the proper level of hardware for 4k gaming realisticly. I don't do a lot of high fps gaming but I do a lot of "Multi-Tasking" and even with my MSI 7900XTX Gaming Trio Classic - there are a few times that i get a low memory warning. Currently until a ddr5 memory modules come out that are higher capacty then 48 gb per ; I have the max amount of ram you can have. A lot of the parts in my system are deigned and meant for "Other" purposes then how I am using them but they have the features and capabilities I wanted my machine to have.

I'm really pleased with my G300A that I recently case swapped to. The USB Type C and USB 3 front panel ports use a shared USB 3 motherboard header. For my motherboard, picking up a 90 degree USB 3 adapter for the header really helped.

@@lucasrem What I'm saying is on this specific case, the front panel USB ports are spliced together to a single connector for a motherboard header.

Nice inadvertent fan upgrade too. Will run a lot quieter and probably last much longer than the stock ones.

Last time I built a PC was 2003, things were much simpler then, chipsets were easier to match etc, you didnt have 15 generations of the same name processor to weed through.. (i3, i5, etc). This is a nice rig for the money, thank you. will be watching more of your builds , especially the parts lists. Very helpful. thanks

I slightly disagree. Maybe parts selection was easier, but the actual setup and install process isn't nearly as easy as it is now. Remember the IDE drive select jumpers you had to change around if you had multiple IDE drives or how installing pre-WinXP OS' could be a multi-hour ordeal?

you could have used the second working fan to the top of the case as a exhaust for better airflow

You guys in the US have some sweet prices. Pretty much the same I built a few month ago, except for some different brands like Samsung for the m.2, and that was only around 1200 without GPU.

1.3 - 1.4k is my sweet spot for 1440p Ultra Gaming with good productivity as well, so yeah about right

I'm on a similar build right now! 7600 and the ASRock Steel Legend 7800XT! I spent about $200 on my build, though.

So close to my recent build. Already had a 6700xt but with an i5-10400 so upgraded to the 7600 and upper-medium mb to allow me to upgrade that further next gen :) Overall...it's been a beast and running smooth. ONE odd shutdown scare after a few weeks running but that's custom PCs lol

I reckon that RX 7800 XT could do with some propping up given how easily Gigabyte cards seem to crack around the end of the PCI-E connector due to card droop. Great build though.

I'm surprised that being sponsored by microcenter that you didn't mention the cpu/mother board/32g of ram deals. They have the 7700x, msi b650-p pro wifi, and 32 gb flare for $399. I ended up using this deal to build my pc at the end of September. The deal is still there.

Definitely built my pc w a couple diff components. The 7800xt is amazing for me.

Now im deciding between am4 or trusting am5 after years of waiting snd to give myseof room in the future since 7800x3d is soooooo perfect! But i already have a 5800x3d and full 3600 ram kit so a 200$ mobo is all i would need to finish the build with a psu and case and cooler so idk. And high end rig would be so much fun since my first 1400$ build with the ol gtx 1080 lasted ne 5 years and i want my next build to last 5 years even if i transition from 1440p to 4k after it matures so time will tell cheeeeers

Yeah great build. I just would have used the Ryzen 5 7600x, if you can find a 7800 XT for MSRP go with that, otherwise, the 6800 XT is widely available for $499.99. With the extra $150 saved, you could upgrade to an 850w PSU, better SSD, and case. Still amazing built for the price point. A 850w PSU would be great for worry free future updates without having to take everything apart. You can also add an extra couple fans. Well done though.

I've been very impressed with OpenRGB's abiilty to find all the hodge-podge of RGB in my system - small footprint and let's me get rid of all the other junk packages. Couldn't get Signal to recognise the RAM or fans.

I was ABSOLUTELY going bonkers thinking my asrock motherboard doesn't work with my lexar rgb ram. Download polychrome and lexar ares rgb software both doesn't work! Open rgb saved me from pulling my hair out.

In the UK pricing up the cheapest parts from the list in the description comes to £1,256.94 ($1,531.24). Got to love UK prices, for PC parts they are usually about the same number as the US but in pounds.

You only had the power connected to the hub. Where is the second cable which connects to an RGB header on the motherboard? The hub comes with SATA power cable and RGB cable. I know because I have 2x 3 fan packs which I used in my PC. The PC looks awesome anyway.

yes finally!!! cheeeeeeeeeers!!!! im finally putting otgether my higher end build as an enthusiest, but its only my second build and its been 5 years. honestly i know EXACTLY what i need and how long ill need it before im willing tyo fully rebuild the system from base on the new platforms, and honestly for the price and the power im getting out on my 7900xt im sticking with best of AM4. i just cant be bothered to learn or use or risk my stress levels with the AM5 platform even tho its matured. ill build a new system again in 3 years and either use the next iteration of ir ot AM6 by then~ which is good~ theres a tonnnnnnnnnnn of life to live and performance i should want so that i cna enjoy the next 3 years but i genuinly just dont think im going to care since im not packing a 4090 and i dont necessarily plan to build AM4 without a strix b550 mobo and 5800x3d so i can slap a bit better gpu if anytthing in the next gen in 2 years catches my eyes, and i still have my backup rig that coudl be retired, upgraded, or repalcved at any time in the next 3 years, I CANT WIAT!!! i have too much disposable income XDXDXDXDXD cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers NOTE: prime reason id rather build AM4 is cause of the value and maturity and everything "solved". AMD is supporting AM5 "til latleast 2025" and i don t plan to upgrade or build anything ever until atleast 2026, so by then i either build fresh in AM6 or i buy best of the best for a solved AM5~ ik i might be giving up 15%~ performance overall for similar prices but i already have a 5800x3d and its worth the sunk cost hahahaha~ plus if i ever do upgrade, itll be to enter the prime 4k gaming market in 2025 if we all survive till then XD. wiull be iwld cheeeeeeeeeeeeeers

For Thermalright I suggest to people to start looking at the Phantom Spirit. It is the updated successor to the Peerless Assasin. Hardware Canucks has a video on it and it performs even better than the assassin.

I just purchased all the parts for my own ryzen 7600 + 7800 xt build. A great deal of $1250 ish… then I had to pay the sales tax and it’s more like $1400 🥲 Sucking it up because I know it’s gonna be a great pc.

This is damn close to the parts list that I put together for build independently. Only real difference is that I went with a higher end motherboard from Asus and 7800x3D for the CPU. But same GPU, same RAM, same size SSD, PSU. I went with the other Thermaltake CPU cooler. And I've got an older Fractal Meshify 2 case I'm reusing. Building it tomorrow!

Yeah sir, you wand a Fractal Design Pop case. They come I a lot or colors and 3 different sizes, TG panels or solid panels. It's a modern case and all of them have 2 external 5.25 bays

For a couple of reasons, I prefer the monitor power supply to be built into the monitor vs. the "power supply" built into the cord.
