    siberian tiger looks bigger because of its fur… bengal tiger is solid muscle with not too much fur.. so bengal tiger is the largest.

    The British did kill a lot of tigers ... Much more than what could reasonably be considered sustainable hunting. However, the human population of India increased dramatically during the same time period, while vast areas were converted from forest/jungle to farmland. Worse still, the tiger habitat that remains in India is highly fragmented, which means the remaining tiger population is also fragmented, which makes it more vulnerable to a variety of threats (poaching, disease, inbreeding, etc.).

    By raw muscle mass royel Bengal tigers are the largest, Siberian tigers are largest but they accumulate a lot of fat to adapt their habitat. In a one to one battle Siberian tigers got no chance.

    You forgot to add some points - 1) Bengal tigers are the most aggressive tigers among all spieces of tigers. 2) Bengal tigers have large canines and have the highest bite force among all spieces of tigers which is of 1050 psi while siberian tiger have the bite force of 950 psi. 3) Bengal tigers are the best atheletes after sumatran tiger and have more stamina while siberian tigers contain fat so, they will be slow in front of bengal tigers

    One of the biggest challenges for tigers in India is that much of the remaining tiger habitat is highly fragmented (islands of forest in a sea of farmland). Consequently, the remining tiger population is also fragmented into many smaller populations. This limits population growth, since many national parks and protected areas are already at capacity, with no room for more tigers. Meanwhile, smaller, isolated populations are far more vulnerable to threats like poaching and inbreeding.

    India is expanding their National Parks by moving villages to somewhere else. That will increase the land area to breed more Bangal tiger. That's the initiative Indian government introduced

    Just one part was off, Tigers don't shake their heads to break the neck of their prey. They usually aim for the windpipe in a throat clamp with the Canines usually piercing behind the windpipe as it gets clamped and shut by the pressure applied by molars and premolars basically suffocating the prey

  • @matthewzito6130

    @matthewzito6130

    Жыл бұрын

    With smaller prey species a tiger can dislocate the spine by merely biting down on the nape of the neck (no need to shake or twist). They can also bite through the skull, although they seem to use this method less often. ... With larger prey they generally use a throat bite, which closes off the windpipe and/or cuts off blood flow to the brain (like a chokehold).

    There are only six extant subspecies of Tiger (Uncia tigris), the Bengal Tiger (Uncia tigris tigris), the Siberian Tiger (Uncia tigris altaica), the Chinese Tiger (Uncia tigris amoyensis), the Indochinese Tiger (Uncia tigris corbetti), the Malayan Tiger (Uncia tigris jacksoni), and the Sumatran Tiger (Uncia tigris sumatrae), in addition to extinct subspecies like the recently extinct †Caspian Tiger (Uncia tigris virgata), †Javan Tiger (Uncia tigris sondaica), and †Bali Tiger (Uncia tigris balica) and paleosubspecies like the †Wanhsien Tiger (Uncia tigris acutidens), the †Ngandong Tiger (Uncia tigris soloensis), and the †Trinil Tiger (Uncia tigris trinilensis), the mainland populations are treated as different subspecies because mainland tigers are a paraphyletic group as the indoesian tiger subspecies are all descended from mainland ancestors, the Siberian Tiger (Uncia tigris altaica) is the largest living subspecies of tiger and the only big cat to live in the North Pole, where it competes with other polar carnivorans like the White Wolf (Canis albus), the Arctic Fox (Alopex lagopus), the Polar Bear (Ursus maritimus), the Stoat (Mustela erminea), the Least Weasel (Mustela nivalis), the Wolverine (Gulo gulo), the Sable or Siberian Marten (Martes zibellina), and the Eurasian Lynx (Lynx lynx), as well as preying on polar ungulates like the Caribou (Rangifer tarandus) and the Muskox (Ovibos moschatus), it can also prey on pinnipeds like arctic seals, the northern fur seal, the steller's sea lion, and the walrus.

    Siberian Tigers inhabit a mix of deciduous and pine forests. They don't live in arctic tundra, and they certainly don't reach the North Pole. Chinese Tigers may already be extinct as a distinct sub-species. They are believed to be extinct in the wild, while those living in captivity (in China) are of unknown ancestery.
