I'm a huge meat eater as to why i developed psoriatic arthritis. My hands, knees and feet are affected with arthritic pain. So I've been bedridden for 3 months because my feet and knees were extremely painful. But when i started to ditched meat, sugar and dairy i started to walk again but limping. The pain reduced for like 50% and my psoriasis is completely dry now. And also, my dad died from heart attack due to the said diet as well

I agree about being responsible for what we eat. However there’s literally a carnivore diet doctor that said exactly what this man said but replace plant-based foods with animal-based foods. Specifically talking about how some people beat Covid easily etc. so who do you believe? I would rather somebody eats a plant based whole food diet than a standard American diet but as a whole the carnivore community seems leaps and bounds mentally emotionally and physically healthier than all of the plant-based crowd. so many people think it’s a miracle how they feel when they switch to the carnivore diet. A lot of people feel better and even heal from illnesses when they first switched to a plant-based diet also. Most of it is for the same reason. It’s when they cut out processed foods. And drastically reduce the amount of added sugar, but it’s not because they stopped eating red meat. I totally believe that within a lot of our lifetimes it will be widely known that a lot of what we’ve been told it’s healthy for the last few decades was known to be a complete lie. Bring on the fat and the red meat! Cardiovascular disease is caused by carbs not fat.

  • @MrRibbett454

Hi - Both camps benefit from cutting out processed junk, true. But on what are you basing your claim that CVD is caused by carbs not fat? Is your claim based on the belief that LDL doesn't matter if you are otherwise metabolically healthy? Just curious. Thanks

I get you, but there are studies that show longevity with plant based diets and less causation of disease, however red meat is known to cause disease and cancer. I also believe that just because something works now doesn’t mean it always will, what matters is best for the body long term, but what do I know. We are all different and different things work for all of us. I for example can’t do the carnivore diet it effects me negatively

I agree with him saying people can reverse things by controlling what they put in their mouth and I’m all for health and wellness, but that also doesn’t mean it has to be plant based by any means. You can swap a bowl of cereal for eggs and turkey bacon. You can swap a burger and fries for grilled chicken and roasted potatoes. There are always alternatives that you can turn to but it does not mean in any way that plant based is the holy grail of diets, I have tried and seen through others that it does not seem to be the most sustainable or nutritious thing you can do for your body as a whole.

You can very quickly 'unlove' meat. I haven't eaten meat for many years, and now I am revolted not only by the whole idea of eating an animal, but also by smelling meat being cooked and seeing it ready to eat on people's plates. If you think of slaughterhouses, and these beautiful animals, who have done nothing to harm us, being slaughtered that will soon turn you off meat. There are more important considerations than your stomach.

Sorry, some of us need animal protein ti be healthy. I did this diet no cheating for 4 years, and my red blood cell count went into the basement. My hemoglobin was 8, about the level where they want to give blood transfusions. With meat my blood count are normal. No diet is a panacea, you have to eat in a way that is healthy for YOU.

Stop talking about what specific natural food people can and should not eat and talk about the process and system the food has grown in. Meat grown in ecological focused environments could be more nutrient dense and better for ecosystem than fruits and veggies grown industrially. Were the veggies grown with all sorts of plastics and synthetic chemicals and cides? It’s about the system they are grown in from mineral to soil foodweb and up. The trophic systems stack on top of each other to make wonderful nutrient dense food that benefits all layers of the ecosystem.

Because all plants have a defense system in their leaves stems seeds and roots that wreak havoc in the human body. Every single plant has defense chemicals and anti nutrient compounds are designed to destroy things that try to eat them. You have to remember that everything in your supermarket does not exist in the wild and never has. It's all manipulated. The highest forms of food that anyone can get in this world is animals, fruit, honey, and sea salt.
