The bells of St Leonard & St Dilpe, Landulph, Cornwall
The tiny village of Landulph lies just around 2 miles from the town of Saltash in South East Cornwall. The church is around a 1/4 mile outside the village and is situated near the bank of the River Tamar.
The bells were re-hung lower in the tower in 1936 by John Taylor and Co, Taylor provided a new cast iron frame and ringing fittings and tuned the bells. They are by a mixture of founders but blend together very well. Treble 2nd, 3rd and Tenor by Pennington 1768, 4th and 5th by Mears and Stainbank 1895. Tenor weighs 10-2-27 and is in the key of F#. Apart from some odd struckness, the bells are easy to handle and are worth seeking out.
legend has it that the old 4th and 5th were lost in transit coming up the Tamar and lie somewhere in the depths of the river!

The striking is really good, excellent ringing. I forgot how the Cornish striking doesn't have a slight gap/pause between the lead and tenor.
Mesmerising watching and listening .
Landulph thought that was near St Martin By Looe & there quite nice sounding sixes out there & just listen to this striking my favourite when it's kept like that awwwww beautiful!!!!!.

That pitch reminded me of Yealmpton, 2nd overtook the treble on 1st pull. These seem alright.

I'd say our treble man didn't quite go away quick enough at the start

@ryantrout6094 yes as the 2nd and third are in the correct space, at first I thought it was the 2nd too tight
