The bells of St Constatine, Milton Abbot, Devon

The bells of Milton Abbot prior to the 2022 restoration could only be described as an extremely challenging ring of six, not very tuneful and extremely old struck. One of Devon's toughest!
The small parish have raised in excess of £97,000! The bells, fittings and frame were removed from the tower in 2021. The bells were cast by J,C & W Pennington in 1769 and are all listed, thankfully the local DAC allowed the bells to be sympathetically tuned, which has done wonders for the bells and the ringers! The frame is galvanised steel, the bells have all new fittings which included cannon retaining headstocks for all 6. A very good job by Taylor's.
The bells now go well and are well worth a visit. Tenor 11-0-16 in F.
This video was taken on Tuesday 26th July 2022, The band ringing in this were Nick Trout, Natasha Trout, Angie Trout, David Crocker, Ryan Trout and Roger Trout. Other ringers on the night were Don Crocker, Graham Sharland and Victoria Tucker. Thanks goes to Victoria for supplying the recording of the bells outside and a big thank you to Michael Blatchford for allowing us to come.
