As a model builder, I never thought about organizing all the parts by color code. Always seems I am finding that one part I missed just after cleaning the black paint off my brush! Great tutorial.

Great video. I would add that very first step before any glue or painting is to wash every part ( except possibly chrome or clear) with warm H2O & dish soap scrubing with a old toothbrush and good rinse with cool water. This removes any possible residue oils from the mold ejection process. Helps with ensuring good glue bonding and paint/ primer adhesion. Oops just watched vid 3 & you covered the dish soap wash. LOL

The headers are suggested to be orange because MOPAR aka Chrysler autos had the headers/ ex manifolds on the engine blocks when they were painted at the factory. The paint would eventually burn off within the first couple of months of use.

Heads are painted with the block. Headers are chrome or steel. If they are painted, it’s only to protect them during shipping/installation. The paint burns off the instant you run the engine (and smells lovely). 😉

Out of the factory, MOPAR headers were orange, or corporate blue, as the block and as you drive they paint burns off to where you would see them used.

I've fed so many parts to the carpet monster, and when I look for the parts and give up, 2 months later it spits them out. I just bought some flambeau clear storage boxes, and plano 3700 boxes, they work great for part storage.

Do you ever find the picture in the model instructions to be mirrored? I have seen where the pic says big piece on left and on the actual model it goes on the right?

Never Engine Block color. Why ?? it's the VHT. (Very High Temp) paints cook off survival Temperature in Standard Engine Colors do not go High enough to Endure Extremity of Exhaust heat. Hence Flat Black, Flat White or Silver are it
