Dear Anuja, Thank you so much for taking time to explain and to introduce the raag Bilaskhani Todi . Although I've been listening to Indian classical music for quite sometimes, I've never been listening to this raag until you cover it now. Through your guidance I've listened to a variety of performances in different media and I've found the rendering of Pandit Shiv Kumar on santoor really expresses the mood of the raga. Do you agree with me on this. I'm a 73 year-old Cambodian (Khmer) fan of yours. Through your teaching I listen raag now, not just with my heart, but also with my head. Do continue your mighty endeavour in bringing the sacred Indian classical music to the reach of all men! Be peace with you!

Gaud malhar is from bilawal thaat( sometimes if komal nishad is prioritized...it belongs to khamaj thaat) other two are from kafi thaat. Megh malhar only has sa re ma pa ni, ni is komal, but in miyan malhar, all the seven swras are used, including both nishads and komal gandhar.

there are only two film songs in this raag first in pak film CHINGARI by Madam Noor Jahan(Dil Ki Baat Batayen Kis Ko) compose by Khawaja Khursheed Anwar 2nd is mentioned in this video

You are doing great job to understand classical music for General people. good job on bilaskhani Todi mentioning JHOOTHAY NAINA but years earlier KHAWAJA KHURSHEED ANWAR composed a song for film CHINGARI (PAK) DIL KI BAAT BATEN KIS KO. There has not been any film song in the said raag before, until JHOOTHAY NAINA
