In Carnatic music, yaman is the equivalent of the ragam Kalyani as well as Yamuna Kalyani. By changing the rishabh to komal rishabh, it becomes Poorvikalyani and by changing the Dhaivatham also, it becomes Pantuvarali/Kamavardhani

I saw an interview of Shreya Ghoshal where she talked about Sanjay Leela Bhansali Sir that Raag Yaman is one of his favourite Raag😳 I loved one song from the film sawariyaa "Thode Badmash" he composed this song very beautifully on Raag Yaman as well🙌🏻❤️

So proud and happy to see a classmate of mine turn up in my KZread recommendations! Amazing work, Anuja! These videos are absolute gems of knowledge! I had some training in Hindustani music as a child but didn't delve deep enough into the art and that is one of my biggest regrets. These videos make me want to get back to that first love of mine! Also, thank you for making me realise today that Raag Yaman is my favourite raag! The songs you've mentioned in your videos (both the old and new ones) are amongst my absolute favourites, but I didn't know that it was their raag which was drawing me to them! Keep up the amazing work!

Love Navjot Why not bro.... chose a flute of G scale or A scale from middle octave. don't put your fingers on any hole until you blow the flute to its purest sound. you may be playing flute for long but still a perfect blowing needs to be practiced before you play further.
