What I can remember as a Beatles 45 when I was a kid was Lady Madonna. It was in the USA but looking back it seems odd as a little child I would haver enjoyed that song so much but I did as well as most of everything they ever did. And now as an adult I enjoy it all even more.

It’s whatever we tune into but that’s a great song and quite a striking rhythm! Aa a youngster, I was always amazed at the Red album stereo mixes and listening to complete songs on either left or right channels!

Every song mentioned a masterpiece.

Hi Nick, No problem! A lot of those 45’s I brought for £1 back in the mid to late 1980’s from a ship in Notting Hill, London and I wished I’d brought more of them as like you said , they looked like they had just left the factory ! Glad you enjoyed my friend, stay well!

Fabulous video Dave. I've long had a complete set of their US 45s in picture sleeves (East and West Coast variations). A few years ago I decided to obtain a set of the 1st pressings of their UK singles. It took me a couple of years to get NM copies but it was worth it. I watched your videos as I examined my copies. As you note there are several variations for most of the singles, what with EMI and contract pressings. I need to find copies of those export 45s.

Hi Terry, Your lucky there mate , wish i had collected the USA 45’s! There’s so many variations to collect U.K. wise , to get anywhere near like mint copies of them all is quite a challenge! Still a couple more Exports to get but they are not easy to get either! Thanks for watching!

Hi Dave hope you're well. I've been getting over a cold, it seems to be gone now thankfully. Nice selection of early - mid 60s Beatles 45s and in excellent condition as well. I never knew of the export copies, you are lucky to have those as well. Seeing you talk about fonts is interesting as I'm doing an IT course at a local college. This is to help me find employment in other fields. Take care and see you in a couple of weeks for Badfinger album 🙂

Hi Sarah, Glad your better , lot of bugs going around it seems! I brought many of those 45’s for around £1 each back in the mid 1980’s and they were all in beautiful condition. Hi Dave and this is a great topic. Your Love Me Do sure dos looking good/ I am still looking for a first pressing of this one but over here it is a $$$ one 🎼. You sure do have a nice Assortment of the great UK 45's!!! I wonder dose your Help 45 play like the one in the US? The one that we have it is a lot of rocker the Vinyl copy. For me I am hit and miss on the UK 45s. But now I need to go a take a look to see what UK Help 45 I have lol!!! Hi Brad, Yea those early ones sure do fetch high prices when in very nice condition! Even now if I see a different variation I’ll buy it , but there is so many to find lol! Aa regards to the Help 45 , I’m assuming it’s the same mono mix as the U.K. so most certainly should sound the same! You’d better get collecting my friend! Thanks for watching, stay well!

Hello Beatle Dave- how are things in SW England? Hope y'all havin' groovy summer there. Things pretty good here in the hills& valleys, E.Tn.USA. A very good 45 collection video here,must say!! We ❤ Rickenbacker guitars! Not sure you ever heard the band,fr New Jersey,the Smithereens ? We love 'em. They did two real good Beatle cover albums,& heard& read often that Jimmy Babjack,their guitarist Loves Rickenbacker guitars,ha. Their 1st full album ' Especially for You',was very early Beatles inspired ! I digress,but also wants to say Dave,we just viewed really cool video from ' German in Venice ' , KZread,at Ringo's s 83rd B'day party in Hollywood. Thought you might like seeing, if haven't. Hi Hayward, Not too bad here although we’ve had a few Rainey days here & thee! Glad you like the video! I think over the years since 1989, I’ve had around 20 different Rickenbacker’s and still currently have a 350/12. I used to play all the time and have made around 9 album’s of tracks since 2002, with some of the tracks being played on USA radio too! Yes, have heard of the Smithereens, and think they are a good group! Oh yes saw Ringo’s 83rd birthday celebrations, still looking very well too! Stay well my friend!

The I Feel Fine is a Hayes,which is a lot tougher to find than the common Decca/Oriole.Ive had both.

Hi Ron, I’ve had most of these 45’s for well over 35 years and I must admit back then I could have brought many more in this sort of condition. Only in the last few years have I begun to track down a few of the variations but definitely not always easy ! Stay well!

I don't recall any of the 45's my parents had having that provision in the center. They had to either use a special adapter on the record player or insert an adapter disc into the center of the 45. (USA).

Hello again Dave! Once again, thank you very much for the shout out. Wonderful set of singles you got there! Those red labels are really a treat. They're also in a great condition as well as their original sleeves. Are you able to preserve them only by using gloves or do you also use outer and inner plastics as well?

Hi FBT, Glad you enjoyed! I was concerned the video was a bit long but I couldn’t trim any more without losing some variations. They ate normally stored in very secure aluminium record boxes which are stackable, so pretty safe and secure! Thanks for watching!

Hi, Dave. 1d ago. This is certainly an awesome set of 45s. Vinyl and labels extremely clean. So where do you find such old 45s, in mono and great condition? Any I've seen weren't in good condition so I pass on them. Or sadly people write on them. Hope you're keeping well. Cheers.

I have one of those original UK red label Love Me Do and I know it's a bit of a cliche but it really didn't ever sound that good again after they lost the master tape. And I think the closest they got was on the 8 disc box set From Liverpool in 1980

Hi Craig, Yes that’s a good point to make. They must have cleaned it up a bit for the box set which does sound pretty good. I always felt the original single version of Love Me Do sounded slightly Lo Fi , certainly compared to the PPM album version! Thanks for watching!

Hi Don, Glad you enjoyed my friend! Well I believe it was when the Parlophone label and sleeves got a make over in early spring of 63, around the time of the first black PPM 45. Obviously it did appear on a few subsequent singles until they were used up! I’ve definitely got one ………somewhere in one of the singles boxes stored away! Thanks for watching, stay well!
