@@6412mars It’s keeping up the tempo of it without getting lost that is tricky to accomplish, not the strumming per se. But to each their own!

@@6412mars meh, performed this song with some friends. It’s challenging when you first get into it, but a lot of people don’t triplet it and play straight sixteenths. That’s where people find It easy. It’s also not easy when you’re singing the lead part like I was while playing the rhythm.

@@6412mars It's triplets on a swing, at 152bpm, over some funky banjo chords, that's what made Johns playing unique, he played banjo before he played guitar.

John was so off rhythm but still made it work. No one will ever play it just like him. He had a frantic pick hand that can’t be replicated.

It’s pretty accurate, he’s strumming 8th-note triplets so it sounds a but awkward or different

Whoever still thinks it’s Rickenbacker and Gretsch after listening to this needs to get a fresh pair of ears. It’s so obvious that it’s J-160e and classical.

The new 2023 mix even has the classical a little louder in the mix

Thought for years John used the Rick, but it’s unmistakable he used the J-160e, same sound as the first album

You are Amazing. Think if you isolate the bass and drums. Then you get the vocals center, drums bass left, and guitars right. Like it should have been recorded
