Love you guys. JB you have such well thought out takes. Sammy, I felt the same as you did before the show.

I truly thought the Leafs would be fighting for a wild card spot this year, pleasantly surprised me, but nothing they have done give's me any confidence they can do anything in the playoffs. Only time will tell. I do believe this is Keefe's last season though, either way.

If the leafs loose in round 1 or 2 it’s because of Keefe. This dude should’ve been fired after last year He’s been out coached in literally every playoff series. The leafs have a solid roster for beating Boston, I just hope Keefe proves me wrong, doubt it though😂 There’s no excuses, any team the leafs play round 1 or any round are gonna kick your teeth in, suck it up and punch back. What’s worse than Keefe, is that Marner doesn’t realize that a body check counts as a stat too. He’s 6’2 1/2 guys. And he doesn’t finish a check, ever. If they sign him, I’m off the farm and I’m switching teams. Enough is enough.

@@Mike-sl5lu Not as defense, but as explanation, if he's only 180lbs at 6 feet or 6'2, then he is still a light player. I was an in shape 190 at 5'9 pre-covid, so I would imagine he can only do so much, even if he could do more than we see night-to-night. For the record, I was hoping they were going to trade him last May/June before NMC kicked in and I think they should let him walk if he wants more than $11 mil going forward.

Colorado definitely deserves to be favorites in that series. At least the Avs have some playoff pedigree over the Jets. Also, B’s fan here, I’m scared of Matthews but he’s been very quiet against Ullmark and Swayman this year so we’ll see how that goes! PLAYOFF HOCKEY SEASON IS BACK BABBYYYYYY

Almost nobody is honest or can be honest anymore. Either it's the boundaries of woke politics or the demands of corporations, which control everything today. These guys get paid to pump up the Leafs. The day they come out and say the Leafs have no chance is the day they get fired. Not that I like that phrase but maybe they use it to point out the once in a blue moon when they're being at least a little honest.

The leafs dropped the ball last night in the 2nd period. A better defensive effort was needed, to many Florida people were alone.

Don’t acknowledge that Toronto took 5 penalties in a row against the 2nd most penalized team in the league. Who had taken only 2 after 2 periods. We lost to Florida and the refs. When Matthew and nylander had 10:20 and 8:41 after 2nd periods.

Boston swept them in reg season but thats a very misleading stat. I would say team was experimenting in those games....tweeking there system abit and not really playing like how they would normally play. You know leafs are a better team on paper but it comes down to mental side and who can play at there best under pressure. Goalie is very important. You know Pavel Zacha was an under rated player in his career. Understandable since his stats were not that good up intill he got picked up by the Bruins. You know he was a former first round pick that was I think top 5??close to it anyway. The guy is good man. Underrated player. Leafs should beable to beat them but hey you know how it is.

I'm a Bruins fan and I'm telling you Leafs will win this series. This ain't the same Bruins team that had Bergeron and Krejci. It won't be an easy series and Bruins have the upper hand in goaltending but I still think Leafs pull it off.

Fans are paying for tickets to see these hotshot Stars - they'd better show up and play. A lot of teams struggle against the caps in one game encounters because they don't adjust for the right-handed goalie. They can adjust over a seven-game series

Mathews played 21 minutes and didn't get it done. What does that say about his ability to perform in a "clutch" situation?

To have any chance against Boston leafs need to play the trap and clog up the neutral zone. It's a different game in the playoffs with low scoring!! To cover Pasta on the PP will be a challenge.

Considering everyone up to and including Shanny might lose their job I don't think there is a single person that shares this mindset. Matthews is young and unless he is banged up he should be fine to play tonight and be 100% for the playoffs. There are players like John Tavares or any of the 3-4 actually injured guys that could use a rest before Matthews. You can want 70 to happen and still have your goals set on the playoffs. Last I checked, McDavid is playing tonight in Phoenix and Kutcherov will be playing against the Leafs. Why are our players in need of bubble wrap?

Do you think the two things are co-related? Like this is the extra game that will make Auston too tired for the playoffs? If he scores 4 goals tonight and then pulls a groin in practice on Friday or in the gym, yourself and Sammy will find a reason to whine about that too. Let players play. Only one team wins the Cup. Who says that one year, it can't be us? The main thing holding us back is the defeatist mindset. We have an awesome record without Morgan Rielly in the lineup. Does that mean we should roll without HIM?? Of course not. So let players play. Injuries WILL happen. We just have to hope that we are the lucky ones this year. We have the talent to win.

Brandon Carlo, is a top notch plus player, no one minus season since he joined the Bruins. He did not play in Ottawa.

Actually a team that’s close wants to get their teammate these personal achievements especially in a meaningless end of a reg season…just like the oilers would do anything to get hyman to 50 or mcadavid to 100 assists. If you’ve played sports at any level you want your friend/teammate to hit these personal records…look at OV 😂 the guy is slow but he stands on that dot and they keep feeding him on the PP.

The Panthers game was not a nothing game for the Panthers. Maybe the Cats saw the writing on the wall and first place was there so they stepped it up. What happened was they lost. Like their history shows, they will not win with out a triple A game. You all should be praying not planning a parade they are tenth (10) in the league in most stats. They lost to a team picked 2nd to win their last game this year. Look at it like an Aircraft, there are very few small things that can happen, and you proceed as planned. There are lots that will bring you down, Goal, D, key players tanking.

Not a sideshow at all. The game had meaning but in a different way. Its good for the Leafs. Only thing I would've done differently is be more careful with when/where Matthews is out there. The team wants that 70, not just him. And they need to work on all different systems vs a team like Florida, in a hard game. Because they games are coming

Real professionals would have sat down with the whole team after Saturday's game, said we need to get ready and rested for the most important thing, the playoffs. Yes the fans want 70 goals, but most behave like children. Lets be real pros and focus on what really matters. Some fans would have been pissed, but most fans and the players themselves would respect the real pros making such decisions. Austen can always go after 70 or 75 or more in the next few years. the whole Dangle podcast are morons, Sammy and Justin on Kyper are morons. Kypreos would have stood up and applauded. In the end, the children lost and the team goes into the playoffs in complete chaos.
