Jesus fucking christ Joe’s screams of “damage” has actually gotta be one of the most genuinely heart-wrenching things ever put to music and seeing the intensity he puts into it live just brings it to another level. Astonishing performer.

This is more than a song. Makes me cry every time I listen to it. It's like learning to love yourself through pain. I waited two years to see IDLES in Mexico City, what a fuckng night it was, cried my heart out. This is the power of music.

This has to be the most raw, most real, most genuine pieces of music I've ever heard. Absolutely Stunning.
My brother recently passed but I’ve found that whatever the mood, this song is how I feel.

Jesus Christ, this song has been making me tear up since the album dropped, but seeing Joe belting out "DAMAGE!" with clenched fists like that was so intense I don't think I took a breath for a full 30 seconds afterwards.

Business destroyed music for most serious listeners, but every once in a while something raw and untamable slips through. There are some things in the world, no one can fake. I'm really happy to have found this band and this performance in particular. It reminds me of the early days of Rammstein and Coldplay, when their music seemed so well written and passionate. I have to add though, the album recording lacks most of the audio quality this live set has. If possible, you should consider publishing this recording to streaming services.

Ain’t that the fucking truth. There are certain things in this world you can’t just fake, and while you can’t quite describe it to someone, you fucking know it instantly when you hear it.
Joe gives all the damn heart in this song, amazing 🤯
Joe went somewhere on this performance and took us along for the ride and it was sublime and I felt crushed and cleansed and powerful and thankful and I can't get enough of it.
This is by far the most convincing live performance I have ever seen. Fucking hell.
This performance of this song hits me hard. Raw and honest. Coming back to myself after loss. Remembering I was right to not try to fix it when the rush went away. Shedding a tear for the things that were. Taken a knee to gather my strength back and happy for today. Thank you, Idles. You have no idea how much your music means to people. Thank you.
My favourite song of theirs, so much raw emotion, always one to be turned up loud. Man is lyrically blessed
One of the best rock performances of all time. That's right, all time.
They could hear me scream for miles The silence ringing for days The wind that turns the trees Made me sway, made me sway Made me sway Doberman, they stood proud The ferns loomed as I lay The waves slapped like shins to wood And I laid, I laid, I laid Inch by inch, foot by foot I was on my knees for days And then I set on all fours And I made, I made, I made, I made I'm not praying, baby I'm not begging, darling I'm not praying, baby I'm not begging, darling Soon as the rush went away I need not look for a way Damage, damage, damage If you see me down on my knees Please, do not think that I pray Damage, damage, damage Soon as the rush went away I need not look for a way Damage, damage, damage If you see me down on my knees Please, do not think that I pray Damage, damage, damage Damage, damage, damage
phenomenal vocal, guitar and bass parts, and drumming... everything
Bro, seriously... I listened to a little piece of this song randomly on instagram and decided to download it on spotify and I just loved it! It turns out, I went to recommend this song to my boyfriend now and decided to look here on youtube to send him the link and bro: WHAT A WORK OF ART! Seriously. I got goosebumps, I cried... I got very moved. What a performance! It's very difficult for a band to totally indulge in a song nowadays. The way you played/sung, feeling the real music, LIVING the music, BEING the music, allowing yourself to live all these mixtures of feelings that the music emanates... bro, surreal. SURREAL! I recently discovered this song and bro, I've already become a fan. You guys are surreal! Now that's a real art. You guys are amazing! Come and do a show in Brazil, I beg you!

As much as I love the studio version, the sheer emotion and visceral screams in this version are absolutely unmatched
What a song
This is the most gut wrenching, intense, hauntingly beautiful song.
I dont think theres better encapsulation of emotions considering surviving and healing through trauma than this song, like, when u look back and realise what a way you have crawled through and got there where you are now,and you now come over as such a whole, shiny person, but you and the people who were here to witness, just know how much substance there is to the light that is a prize and not a given characteristic of your character. So much damage that you have bled and sweated to repair, and although youre doing much better, you just know that its there, that you can just turn around and see the dark woods youve crawled out of on your fours and you can always tap into that feeling that he transmits, screaming damage and pounding his chest with the clenched fist. The turmoil, though transformed, will always be a part of you

And the combination of DAMAGEE with that haunting falsetto GOD DAMN IT
Thank you for uploading this on its own. Not that the rest of the set isn't just as amazing...but this right here... Massive emotion.
Alright imma leave a checkpoint here for the times when this stuff is considered old frickging good retro stuff, see you in approximately 50 years or so
I love the intensity he sings with. It always gives me chills
Magnificent performance. David Bowie once sang "ain't there one damn song that can make me break down and cry", well this is one of a few. The look on their faces at the end if wonderful, they knew they had done something very special
Raw and visceral. Glad I found this gem when I really needed it.
They are so beautifully vunerable and raw and powerful together. This song says it all....so I don't have to.

Touched my soul. Gave me a little bit of healing
I really needed this song. I never heard about this band til yesterday. I can't stop listening to this song, can't help but tear up and on the 2nd listen to it, I broke down and cried. This song really hit me hard and at the same time it's like a relief. Thank you for this song.
Sounds better than album version
This 4 minute performance is the equivalent of a 600+ page book that blows your fucking mind after each paragraph. Christ this is insane.
I'm new to this band and I did not know that the singer had this voice in his toolbox. This band is exhilarating
This is one of my all time favorite vocal performances
It's not often I comment on videos, but this is one of the most incredible live performances I've seen. IDLES, you absolutely smashed that out the park!
I miss her so fucking much
Such punishing emotion. Answers the question, "Can souls bleed?" Clearly. This is monstrously great work...
This song is ineffable. I can watch this video many times in a row and it is still so powerful. Round 2 now.
Discovered this song two weeks ago and I think I’ve listened to it 20 times now. This version made me tear up, the soul is incredible. I can feel his pain so much more deeply after seeing it performed live. Excellent work
pure emotion nothing else as it should
I simply love the musicianship, his vocals and lyrics but the musicicians...makes me so happy, they are certainly unique, refreshing, I'm thankful.
Im 53 it's like finding music all over again..awesome
Joe going from a falsetto to those fries WHILE giving a heartbreaking performance 😢 3:29 Idk how personal the song is for him or them all but it's so damn powerful
One of the greatest performances ever. Raw, otherworldly, real as fuck
What energy… oof man wow
Best performance I’ve ever heard in years period🫡
Joe, you showed your soul in this song. And its the most beautiful soul ive ever had the privilege of seeing. I can literally feel your pain when i hear you sing this song! Seen you twice in concert, Newport ky and Nashville TN. And ill be there in Chicago this year! I ❤ IDLES Edit: I have a piece of Joe dress hanging on my wall from Tennessee! And Adam's autograph on a T-shirt from KY!
Arrived as a blessing to me... real as a punch, deep as love.
Goose-bumps, watery eyes
What I just witnessed at 2:29 onwards is simply apotheotic, magnificent, absolutely brutal and thrilling. What a performance, I'm stuck in this video in an eternal loop. IDLES is definitely one of the best rock bands at the moment! God bless 👏🏻👏🏻
I'm not sure there has been a more intense and charismatic band (and yes, frontman) since who knows when.
The whole set is absolutely phenomenal... but I'm gonna be coming back here a lot!
I can't get over this. I can't get through it without breaking down, every single time, but it's like... purifying.
Shivers through my spine!
This song is such a masterpiece
Caught this when it first aired, this song made me a new fan. Wonderful work lads
This is one of the best things I’ve ever heard
The feeling I get at the end of this song.... Damm.
In 30 years we look back at this performance as a Masterpiece
One of our bucket list bands to see & got tickets for December Birmingham.
Massive performance!! Rock is 💀, long live rock!
The realest band for the last 4 years. All is love ❤
Fucking masterpiece, there's hope in music. So much emotion.
Beautiful! The best performance of this song, so far.
I played this song a couple times on the Highway singing in traffic, really putting my heart on my sleeve. ❤️
Joe’s performance on this is incredible.
this is my favourite thing in the entire universe
This is no doubt my favourite song from them, I can taste the pain in his voice and the great company of the music it's just magnifique. This one makes me cry every the time I hear it.
He has a frightened rabbit tattoo on his wrist I love him even more
