I skip intros if I've listened to them 1 too many times, if I really really want to get to the action bcuz the last episode ended on a cliffhanger (Yesterday's demon Slayer episode) or if it's just not fire.

She didn't have to believe it, it's the equivalent of trolling. She said it knowing it that no one liked that movie. She obviously chose the most vile things to say with the intent to trigger him. If he hated anime he wouldn't care and would've passed the test. It would only be an evil flag if she actually believed it, which it was clear she didn't.

I love how the corridor crew just randomly pop up throughout the show

...I see they made an OVA to establish a new continuity while retaining elements of the original light novel. Welp, let's review this again. • The history of the longstanding feud and tense trade relations between Prestige TV City and Neo Otaku CIty is left out due to pacing reasons. The feud begins with Neo Otaku City establishing itself as a distinct trade and entertainment center from Prestige TV, however, the later years forced them into a sort of agreement where several intellectual properties were shipped over and adapted into live-action. • The mayor isn't dead as of this point in the original light novel. It is instead implied he died around the time the meeting with Joe and Diesel's mother happened. • Joe actually was more assertive in the novel when talking about live action adaptations, arguing the merits (downplayed) and flaws (slightly more vocal) of these sorts of things. • Prestige TV City has a History of Pop TV museum, which would be the scene of one of the greatest fight sequences in the series. • The beach scene was not in the original novel. Instead, Joe and Diesel had the meeting at a nearby Starbucks. (Product placement...) • There is a nod to Heroes in the original light novel, when one of the mooks thinks Joe can travel through time. ...this new continuity will be hard to keep track of, I suppose.

....I see you made the sacrilegious choice to read the original light novel without first reading the original original web comic. Welp, let's review this again: ● the feud actually began during the first anime boom years. Initially Neo Otaku City was a subsidiary of Prestige TV City but the anime boom years caused Neo Otaku City to gain considerably more power which put a strain on the relationship between the city and it's subsidiary. NOC ended up becoming an independent colony which proved to be a bad call because during the an-imflation, creators started spending more on anime than they made from it. This led to NOC selling the rights to a lot of its golden age content just to stay afloat. ● 09:15 although this line wasnt in the actual webcomics the creator recently spoke about it. That line was actually a reference to the Naruto vs. Sasuke fight and other anime fights that popularised the quick cuts in fight scenes. This is an interesting statement because PTC originally used long continued cuts for fight scenes but NOC's influence during anime's boom period actually led to PTC changing this style. PTC wanted to incorporate some anime elements in an attempt to recreate the popularity of anime in their TV shows. But short fast cuts proved to be a bad idea and didn't work in non anime (I.e Casino Royale, Taken) and so PTC has had to revert back to the original long steady flowing shots during fight scenes. ● although the beach scene wasnt in the original light novel it was in the original poorly drawn webcomics. Creator-san only changed it to starbucks when he was refining ACD for the light novels in order to get sponsorship. ● in the original webcomics joe actually reached the door before he is caught. This is important because the moment he touches the door he has a flashback to his moment with Diesel where they are both pushing the door and holding back the ninja henchmen. I know this may be alot for you all to keep track of but I hope this helps put more context to the whole episode.

I also noted that at the end of episode 3 Diesel had the crest of hope, since life was looking up for her at that point in spite of misgivings about the case

I literally tapped "skip intro" exactly as it skipped the intro and I thought rocketjump was taking advantage of some niche feature of youtube. Guess I'm a moron

We aren't usually easily fooled but clearly RocketJump knows their audience well enough to play head games... and win.

I loved the fight seen with the intance background music narrating the fight, top ten Animie... Live action fights 😉👍

I noticed it too, but I think, it is done on purpose. Basically like in the series the crests representing the heart going from friendship to love and maybe representing what is currently important. I mean, compare the scenes and what they are talking about when she has the friendship crest and when she has the love crest.

Damn, I hovered the mouse over the "skip intro" button at the EXACT moment it skipped. I tought I had clicked it by acident and spent about 2 minutes absolutely confused trying to find the intro again. Well played, ACD, well played...

The medieval part will be on the _inside_ of the futuristic buildings, as holographic worlds that look like the outside hundreds of years ago.
