God bless them. I always get emotional when I see Carl. I hate it that we lost him so young. What a talent God gave him in his 51 years on this earth.

@@DougandMichelle - Really? Fair enough, we all perceive the world differently (Thankfully!). For me, I know that death can be just around the corner for any of us. Add to that viewpoint an often-terminal disease and the uncertainty of death goes away easily. :-)

That tune never gets tiring to listen to. I’ve seen them live several times and each time it sounds perfect.

Actually Joe Thomas that worked with Brian during the Imagination album era and was a producer on it he actually was at one time years ago a wrestler. Look him up!

Yes, not in all the concerts but he was in and out

I heard California girls sung live many time. This version sounds prerecorded, mixed, filtered, and lip syc'd.

Terrible idea

The backup band seemed strange - where is Tim Bonhomme and Mike Meros? Who is that playing the Piano? and the keyboard? Different backup band - it must have been someone else's house band

Perhaps ----------and I admit it--------I'm projecting here, but to me, Carl does not look well here. I wonder, when in '96, WAS this ? It was in late '96, when Carl was convinced by Gina to go the the Doctor, get a check-up, & that's when Lung CA was 1st Dx'd. ----------Like I say, maybe it's just me .

Brian's mic was probably turned off.....

Carl put on quite a bit of weight in 1996. Whether that was the first signs of something wrong i don't know.

From the 91 Japan tour/ interviews, it’s so scarily apparent that something was very wrong with Carl’s health. Regrets, regrets..

He did look overweight in 1991 but that could have been a different health problem plus getting Brian away from Dr Landy for good took its toll on him. On the Endless Harmony documentary his voice was fading and you could see the sadness in him as he knew he didn't have long left to live.
