Hrm. So you're saying that because he accepted firearms to deal with problems, Grim Knight never bothered to train his body our Dark Knight considered necessary to combat crime. He was a normal man, with a high aptitude for guns. Grim Knight was the same Batman, but lacking the physical prowess the Dark Knight worked so diligently to achieve. The coolest thing about this to me is that Snyder really points out how there are no half measures with Batman. Either he kills no one, or kills everyone. He doesn't use guns, or he exclusively uses guns. Also, Alfred is so freaking METAL.

Of course Grim Knight should never be anywhere as good a fighter as Batman because he never challenged himself and always used weapons. He may be a great fighter for sure but he always immediately used lethal weapons. Batman has gone through so much just to not have to kill someone. Overcoming challenge is what builds skill. Honestly Grim Knight probably became a little lazy compared to our Batman. So im not surprised that Gordon could get the jump on him. He wasnt expecting him and he isnt used to being in a close quarters combat especially after he has been dominating his Gotham for so long. Its not as shocking as some might think. Could Gordon stand a chance against our Batman? Lol hell no.

If he's as good at fighting with guns as Batman is with his fists it doesn't leave a lot of opportunity to practice his unarmed combat after all. I'm sure he's competent at that but again, guns were his primary method so I can totally see his martial skills suffering from that.

the human body is surprisingly resilient, and it's a lot easier to put someone down with a shot to the brain than it is to know where and how hard to hit someone to incapacitate them without killing them. takes a lot more skill, which is why a gun is so much more accessible means of self defense. not saying they're following real life rules here, but it takes significantly less time to learn how to take someone down with a gun than it does to learn to take someone down in hand to hand combat.
I have to admit, I ended up stumbling upon this before bed - really stoned and was such a big comic book collector as a child - this brought me right back... I think The Batman Who Laughs should've said that he's the worst Bruce Wayne. Because he is, as a result, actually the best Batman. I mean, the reason he didn't change completely was because he was possibly the most Batman of all Batmen.

The Rickest Rick? Jk I agree, that definitely was what the leading factor for him succeeding
His laugh at the end of the intro...anyone else suddenly worried the Bat got to him? Also, Gordon’s line about being blind and out for blood is amazing.
For me...Batman Beyond was almost a logical next generation with a Batman who, while he could create heroes (and villains) from all his Robins, but he never could create a Batman. Dick is a good Batman, but it was still coming off as a 'not quite' because of his circus upbringing. With Terry, it was perfect. Then finding out it was out of something Amanda Waller did? It pretty much was the logical outcome and the stories felt 'right' for that future. That's why I will always like Batman Beyond.

Batman who laughs and red death were literally instant gold!!! Sometimes the greatest ideas are the most basic, and you going with alternate versions of Bruce Wayne was something I'm really surprised they haven't already exploited! I really enjoyed the whole metal story lines. Exploiting the whole dark Multiverse was also something that has probably created a never-ending storytelling core

Yeah DC has done more full universe reboots than Marvel but Marvel has a lot of cosmically powerful characters and artifacts that often mess with order. Marvel is also more willing to do stories about their multiverse instead of sticking with their main universe too much like DC does.
@kcopara1
4 жыл бұрын
@@cjtrules1 DC has done more reboots because their universe is small and diversity of characters pale when compared to marvel. So because of DC size being smaller than marvel universe. It's easier for them to do a reboot. It's like washing a big truck vs washing a small car (DC). YOU will wash the smaller vehicle faster

Big fan of your videos bro, You're cool Af. Got me into comics haha.
I find it very interesting and relatively realistic that the Punisher Batman is taken out by a simple trick and his own over confidence because Batman having the no kill rule is exactly what makes him such a terrifying foe. He has spent his entire life taking out some of the strongest people/monsters you can imagine without ever killing them and that, of course, has honed his fighting skills, foresight, and knowledge of human psychology. Punisher Batman, on the other hand, might still be a very formidable fighter and still have a lot of Batman's skills and know how, but at the end of the day a majority of his fights were probably solved by just aiming the guns at his enemies and pulling the trigger. He's probably a hell of a marksman, but that's really the only skill he's been honing since he was a boy
