Defo agree, channels like that are just one big wallet-flex, could easily name a few, channel like this are gold, I don’t even really like Fords but I still watch it lol

Been watching these and have loved it being a huge Ford enthusiast, mk1 RS was always a dream car for me and rapidly changed to the MK2, none the less mk1 have a huge soft spot for me. Have learnt a lot during these videos not being overly mechanical minded. As I own a mk2 focus ST 5pot, would love to see a similar video, rebuilding a 5 cylinder would be so interesting. I am very looking forward to the finishing touches of the Astra GSI Turbo. I currently have a Zafira GSI Turbo that I will be restoring with my dad and I will use it as my first car. We have a 60,000 mile Z20LET engine that I'm going to rebuild and put into the car.

You should not torque the cam pulleys with bar if you dont have proper tool for hold the pulleys itself, you can brake the camshafts ends...

Could you dona video on how to install a uprated boost solonoid on an st225 please. I'm stuck, Not sure which pipe goes where? Not the same as the ford original

Hello, great videos Aaron! Helping me remain confident with my first ever rebuild, im learning a lot from you. One question though, when turning over by hand to check for valve piston clearance doesnt this provide a false sense of security? as i presume those are Hydraulic tappets would have bled down a little meaning that the valves wont open all the way? Or are these solid tappets? Forgive any ignorance on my part im still learning.

I guess maybe you are doing it more because its a super simple and quick check that will tell you if there is any other issues as well not necessarily piston to value clearance during turnover

I had a focus rs mk1 , mint car just should of been 4x4 I’m my eyes, ended up writing it off model no 1467 I think

As opposed to the 30 seconds it probably took him to remove it with a puller tool designed for the job that will pull it off straight and not damage the pulley? Hammers are designed for hitting nails 😂👍🏻.

@@plumbc007 as he said tho it was proper stuck on so light tap isn’t going to work hence he used the puller.
