The panning out of the camera, knowing it’s over… the music so hauntingly joyful, yet you find yourself sad that this is it, yet so happy you got the witness the expertise and focus of each member’s craft… I hate that I didn’t find the Band sooner

If only musicians today possessed half the talent of The Band. They would be awesome. As for The Band, legendary.

One of the greatest bands and my favourite. RIP Levon, Rick and Richard.

This is like the type of song that would be played during a funeral in a Fellini film. Maybe not so much a funeral, but a circus at intermission? 🎪🎪🎪 What I'm trying to say is that The Band were one of a kind.

As my casket slowly is moving into the crematorium, I want this played.

And that's how you go out on top. Much respect to Garth, and to the memories of Robbie, Rick, Richard, and Levon.

'Gran Vals' actually composed by Francisco Terrega bares more than just a passing resemblance to the 'Last Waltz Suite'. Also used in the original Nokia cell phone ring.

Love this! What a group of talented musicians.

Amazing talents! Danko was my favorite though.

It's an "Ampeg Baby Bass", an electric upright bass made from fiberglass.

Is Richard actually playing that Dobro? I don't think I can hear it. I always wondered if they just gave it to him and sort of pretended to play it just for effect for the video, because there were no other parts needed for the song. I could be wrong of course.

I looked closely at what his fingers were doing when they were visible and the timing doesn't seem to fit the music a lot of the time. I also wonder if he is actually not playing.

@@clintadams8451 And harp guitarists have pointed out, though, that Robertson (not being a harp guitarist) did not use the traditional harp guitar tuning, which is probably why he got that sound.
