I think Ventress' last line was supposed to be hinting at the explanation: she did die, but Nightsister magic brought her back. That's prob why she said she's got a few lives left. She's a Nightsister cat.

I love how Ventress force pushed Hunter into Wrecker just enough to knock them both down. She could've pushed them both right off the cliff but used restraint because she's not trying to hurt them... much. Felt like they wanted us to think for a milisecond that she was gonna rage push... but she's like, "nah, I'm calm".

I think SW made Dark Disciple because they had no plans for Asajj and wanted to kill her off with some redemption/conclusion. However, now the Nightsisters have been revived in AHSOKA, and Filoni may have a use for Asajj in a future project. So Filoni ‘revived’ her here to be explained later.

Personally, I'm a heroes person, not a villains person. That being said, seeing Asajj being patient, provocative, and more tranquil has made me really appreciate her entire story coming full circle, even though there are some pages missing. She is so incredibly badass, it would've been a crime to keep her dead. I have never read any of the novels, but I have listened to the part where Quinlan and Obi-Wan place her in the Water Of Life. Literally. The pool turns green, a definite sign that Nightsister Magik is taking place, and presto, Asajj Ventriss lives! Is see absolutely nothing mysterious about her return. And speaking of returns, welcome back! Glad you had a good time.

some time after Ventress died, they moved her body and re-interred it into the waters of Dathomir. There is no story after that, so she magically got re-animated at some point after that.

The book does specify that they put her in stasis immediately after her death, and that the pool she’s put into was the same one she was “reborn” in before. And then something magical happens to her once she’s been put in it, although Quinlan just assumes she’s at peace. It all definitely provides an easy explanation for her return.

It really wasn't Ventress's fault near the end as it just so happened that her Force Connecting Summoning-Call for the school of Bio-luminescent stingrays made it easier for the sea monster leviathan Vrathean to summon up/show up & have its next meal as they were bundled up & circled in place for it to eat them

The writers did say that how she survived would be mentioned in the show and I'm surprised no-one has picked up on her final line ("I've Got A Few Lives Left") which might indicate that she wasn't actually dead in the book because of the pool as others have also mentioned. We definitely need a new series showing Omega training for something in the future, maybe appearing grown up in the next Ahsoka series ?

Many speculated that's where Tech would be standing in formation and it resembles the Missing Man formation. 9:10 I think this is the first time Omega has seen a Lightsaber. 10:40 Why? Why answer all the questions here when the alternative means more Ventress in the future? EDIT: a non Jedi lightsaber.

When she was a Sith she was did fight with honor and always made her intentions known to her opponent .She could have easily killed the Bad Batch or did some damage but not doing that just shows she's not a bad guy. Then again we did see this when she was helping Ahsoka ( which I also geeked out about lol) I really hope they don't kill 😢💔off any more Bad Batch characters cause I love these guys 💕Also I hope if they run into Cad , Ventress with help out

I still maintain that Omega isn't force sensitive, or at least not to the point that she's likely to tap into it without a lot of training, something like Sabine, maybe even less. We've always known the Empire hunts down force sensitives after the war, both survivors and young potentials, as we saw with the holocron in Fallen Order. Obviously, Omega is important to Project Necromancer, something of the utmost importance to the Emperor, so obviously they'll be hunting her as well. I don't think the two are related, other than the fact that Necromancer involves a transfer of midi-chlorians (or that's what it sounds like). I could be entirely wrong, but that's what I'm thinking until we know more. I wonder if Ventress doesn't eventually work to help get the Hidden Path off the ground. With her history, I feel like she would do what she could to keep other force sensitives out of the Empire's clutches, both because she knows exactly who the Emperor is and how dangerous he is and foiling any of his plans is a win, while also preventing other young force sensitives/former Jedi from going through the same sort of things she did at the hands of the Sith. I definitely think it's a real testament to the growth she's undergone in that she didn't just kill Omega outright. Once upon a time, Ventress wouldn't have hesitated to keep something apparently extremely valuable to the Emperor away from him. Killing her would've been the easiest option. But she acts with compassion now, also letting the batch prove themselves in being able keep her safe. I think she's going to definitely keep tabs on them just to be sure.

First off, you look incredible as Ventress!!! I have been a fan of Ventress since she first appeared in the Tartakovsky shorts preceding RotS and now is easily in my top three favorite characters. She is low-key the most interesting character in all of Star Wars...orphaned, padawan, Sith apprentice, Sith assassin, Night Sister, bounty hunter, Jedi assassin, and now wandering Force user probably saving Force-sensitives from the Empire...she has been through every aspect of this universe, And now that she has rejoined the galaxy after her "dead" body was left in the waters of Dathomir, there is sooo much storytelling possible...her own show, passing through other shows and movies, books, comics, infinite fan fiction and fan art, etc. Ventress has instant chemistry with anyone onscreen with her, but her and Omega are such an incredible team...I'm with you in hoping they find their way to each other as master/apprentice down the road! Out of many good episodes, I think this is now my favorite of the entirety of Bad Batch, or at least the one I will return to often.

This was a 🔥 reaction as always. Your reaction to Ventress showing up was expected. I liked how when was Ventress testing Omega, her frustrations were like Luke's when he started training, especially on the water. I like how Ventress was using Jedi practices during the episode. During the fight with BB, she didnt draw her saber until they started getting more aggressive and even then she didn't deflect them back. Also the animal taming and even the thought of leaving attachments behind, she really starting to trust the light side of the Force more but she still has the ruthlessness of old it seems. Which is nice. Lastly, you looked really, really pretty this episode. See you in the next reaction and May the Force Be With You, Always. 💚💚✌️

I think the situation is that usually whenever you clone someone the M-Count level goes down, but something about the process they used to create Omega prevented that decrease. So she doesn't necessarily have a high M-Count, she just doesn't have less than Jango Fett did.

Dark Disciple is one of the best Clone Wars arcs-and one of the best, must-read Star Wars books-and this feels like such a worthy successor to it. I love seeing how far Asajj has come. Also, as an aside, it’s interesting that she has another yellow crystal and what looks like one of her two hilts the Jedi confiscated from Barriss. Her yellow saber from Dark Disciple somehow ended up as half of Maul’s hilt in TCW season 7, but we still don’t know how or why.

The ways around the end of dark disciple have to do with either the waters of Dathomir, cloning, Or being as miracle max says in the business what we call only "mostly dead". Every living thing can already access the force passively, especially if they can demonstrate an exceptional affinity for something (Animals, Piloting, Machines, Empathy, Martial arts, Gambling., Persuasion, etc). Consciously manipulating the Force is an entirely different. Kettle of fish and usually requires training.... Omega being a vital force cloning catalyst is not the same as having an affinity to me a force user herself

"Dark Disciple" is great. I've had to start using audiobooks, and the "Star Wars" audios are really well produced with fantastic narrators. The "Dark Disciple" one is particularly good, and I can't recommend going down the audiobook route enough. ( I would also recommend the audio of "Inquisitor: Rise of the Red Blade", which was fascinating and I think would be right up your alley). Also, I think I saw a rumour about them doing an Asaaj Ventriss showsl, which would be amazing no matter what they did with it (maybe explore The Path from "Kenobi", which bring in Voss). The possibilities are endless

Asajj and Quinlan would be like a darker Cal and Merrin imo. Merrin was a night sister but she never used the dark side the same way Asajj did learning from the Sith. And Cal is struggling with the force. But (dark disciple spoilers) Quinlan went full darkside for months. Even tricked the Jedi into thinking he was good when he wasn’t. He eventually came back to the light. But like Yoda said “once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny” Quinlan would still be struggling with it. I think a TV show with the two of them, helping the path would be fun. I just don’t know if it would be enough to have more than 1 season.

I think that Hunter and Crosshair weren't too off the mark that Ventress was lying that Omega didn't have the potential to wield the Force 🤔. I don't think that Omega being attached to the Bad Batch is what's holding her back from unleashing her potential, but the key 🤔. We've seen time and again that shutting people out doesn't protect from the Dark side of the Force, letting them in does.

I guess the best title to give her is anti-hero the episode could have been a back door pilot but if it was they probably would have said so. I would read the book but it's kinda to expensive now for me unfortunately and im not really into audiobooks im busy with the high republic books anyway though

Lucasfilm just won't allow characters to stay dead. First Palpatine, then Maul, then Palpatine again and now Ventress.

Ventress was placed into the waters of Dathomir which causes the water to glow green "like the Water of Life" with whispers of the Nightsisters. Kenobi gets freaked out and yells out to Vos what is going on. To me it was very obvious from the first time I read it that they were going to bring back Ventress at some point.

Omega doesn't have a high M count. Her version of clone blood will accept Palpatine's midichlorians and survive his cloning process intact.

I don’t think that’s right. They’re very quick to point out that Ventress was lying, and then Ventress hints that Omega does, in fact, have high Force potential.
