Thank you for the shout-out! 🤗 For anyone wondering, Charles Soule’s Star Wars comics show Tarkin’s piece of Eriadu (where Tech fell) on a non-misty day and it’s forests & lakes between those mountains. (worth mentioning Soule was made a Lucasfilm consultant before this season) Same with the canon Tarkin novel descriptions, it’s all Tarkin’s family’s Hunting Preserve down there. Basically the chances of it being “just rock” under that monorail are VERY slim. 😊

It's brilliant to read this. I did notice Tech's gun was falling at his side, I'm not sure if it's the one he used to grapple onto the cart or the one he used to shoot himself free from the cart he was grappled to.

My heart dropped when Crosshair was having his head held under water........when the bubbles stopped so did my heart. They better not kill off my favorite of the Batch

They never referred to themselves as the only surviving clones. So there could be others. We saw that one in Kenobi.

One comment I read mentions that all of the troops Wolfe had with him he he confronts Rex were Clone Troopers. There wasn't a single TK trooper with him. Which means that they were all loyal to him, so none of them would contradict his report of "The primary target escaped because the Operative interfered."

Yeah, it's a good thing all the TKs were taken out before that confrontation. If there's even one there, Wolffe's hands would be tied. Letting Rex go means either Wolffe let the stormtroopers rat on him, or he silences them which would be an even more extreme act of defiance than Wolffe may be ready for at this point in time. As it stands, what happened there was purely between brothers.

The fight between Crosshair and the Clone Assassin is very symbolic because Crosshair is fighting a personification of what he could have become if he had stayed with The Empire

I kinda like these CX operatives being called Shadow Troopers. I'm not convinced Tech is any of the CX operatives until I see him under the helmet. I'm still thinking if Tech is alive he's a head in a jar. Good to know Echo's ship has a name, Remora-One. You know if I had a nickel for everytime a rebel/insurgent named Nemec died in Star Wars, I'd have 2 nickels which isn't a lot but its weird that it happened twice.

Hemlock said the he discovered how to transfer consciousness from one body to another in 3x1, so it's possible that even if he was a head in a jar, they were able to put him in a new body Not sure why they'd do that though

It was funny that during the smoke shootout they blasted all the TK troopers so in the final standoff only clones were there with Wolffe. But I think it was Rex who blasted the other clone commando in the back (there were 2 of them initially).

It could be Commander Cody because he went AWOL in season two when he hesitated to kill the Separatist Governor. Maybe he was arrested and transferred over to Mount Tantis where he got reprogrammed. This is not Tech, because Crosshair mentioned that his DNA is defective and failed to transfer which is why he could not be converted into a Shadow Ops trooper.

Much like Grievious collects lightsabers, Louise collects Clones. lol

I had a mini heart attack when Crosshair stopped breathing.

Pretty sure in Rebels they just said that those were the only clones Ahsoka knew the location of, and that Rex no longer had contact with any others, leaving it open as to whether that meant because the others were dead or just because they had gone their separate ways to avoid drawing attention for however long they had left. That being said, maybe the three who show up in Rebels are the only ones to make it out of the assault on Tantiss? ;)

That was an awesome moment (Homage to Rebels). I also love the fact that Wolfe has morals and lets his colleagues go. He going to learn the Empire is full of lies and corruption.

That little getaway ship is the leech pod off Echo's ship the Remora-One, they used it so they could board an Imperial Advanced Science Division ship in S2 Ep 14- Tipping point. Also the Crimson Corsair's ship the meson Martinet is they same base ship design, that feels intentional...that the ship used by the The Clone underground is the same Type as the Ship the Last clone crews on.

I really enjoyed these two episodes, they are the best in the season so far. Crosshair's character has improved, and he has redeemed himself by earning the trust of Hunter, Howzer, and Wrecker. He understands how corrupt the Empire truly is and witnessed how they treated the Clones who refused to follow orders. During his confrontation with the Captured Assassin Clone, Crosshair mentioned that Dr. Hemlock was conducting experiments and transforming Clones into "Convert Operatives." His DNA was defective, which is why he was not reprogrammed. This also proves that Tech isn't one of the assassins.

Thank you for the reaction Louise. I was waiting all day for it, so hyped for this show.

Mayday and Omega, the two most important people to Crosshair. He lost Mayday, he WON'T lose Omega!

Wolfe will help Rex and the rest of his brothers rescue the rest of the clones. It’s only a matter of time.

I'm pretty sure that the Operative is a Clone of Crosshair. You could tell from the voice, music, and his shooting.

Just popping by on this comment too to mention again that it can’t be a clone of crosshair, for a couple reasons. The most pressing of which is that canonically it takes clones 10 years to mature to adulthood. If it was a crosshair clone, it would still be a small child.

@@MarkProStatsno, actually, there is literally nothing indicating that this show is utterly breaking canon here (which is what would be required to have it be a crosshair clone) It’s also a hat on a hat, from a writing perspective. Crosshair already has his arc. Him helping redeem (or having to kill) Tech is the obvious narrative set of choices here, depending on whether you go hopeful or dark. From a writing perspective.

Seven episodes already. Makes me wonder what's worse. Knowing this is the final season of the Bad batch or that this is the last Clone Centric Star Wars content we're getting.

While some speculation says the Shadow Clone is Tech, I think it's Cody. But, after my third viewing, is it just me or does he sound an awful lot like a Clone of Crosshair? He talks just like him. Love your reactions!

Initially I thought the assassin clone was in fact a brainwashed Tech. But then I realized Crosshair said he didn't turn because of his defective nature (unless he meant that sarcastically). So I imagine that's a way to tell us that Tech can't be turned either. If that's the case, it could be Cody or a random named trooper we should know from before, like Bly in example.

Yes I hope Tech is alive too, but if we were to use real-world science a drop from that height hitting water would be like hitting concrete

If you ask me, and you didn't, the assassin clone acts and moves more like Crosshair than any one. The gear he carries, the way he carries it, his insolence, and even just the way he moves.

Didja forget that the FINAL blood sample of Omega's was NOT destroyed? (And is the whole reason they stopped trying to kill them during the escape from Tantiss). Now they want the rest of it.

I have a suspicion that’s when we meet up with Ventress. She’s going to be the one that senses that omega is force sensitive and tell Rex and the others. That’s what they’re after the midi-chlorians.

I just want to take the time to honor the voice actor for the clones because it's the same guy doing like 20 or 30 different characters and somehow despite them being clones and having identical voices they all end up sounding like individual characters and I'm still not entirely sure how he does it.

i really love how this show goes out of it's way to make the clones feel like actual siblings, it's really heartwarming

Felt like a clone wars episode

Hearing the clone theme gets me every time. Especially during Rex’s speech to wolf.

If Filoni wants to adhere to some Legends stories on Clones, than the operative is probably Cody, not Tech.

Tech fell and went over a waterfall in season 2, this has to be him.

If the operative is Tech, he knows where Pabu is.

If we take what Crosshair said about the shadows and him being defective is why he didn't become one, then I don't believe it's Tech or at least Tech as we knew him. Could he be a necromanced Tech and he's just a zombie?

Crosshair was being self-effacing in deflecting that question. He wasn’t saying the Batch couldn’t become shadow agents, he was trying to avoid the question by claiming HE was defective.

This is gonna lead into wolf getting crap for letting them go that's gonna drive him to rex and a rescue mission will happen or somthing of the sort so happy to see so many clones

Louise regardless of what happens this season the voice actress for Ventress and Filoni have hinted at more Clone Wars. Star Wars Comics UT channel has spoke of this possibility of something with Rex, Wolfe and Gregor that will lead up to the mass clone rebellion that we have read about. Let me know what you think.

@@jasonmarbach But that's literally not true though. You can't name one character in the original trilogy that died and somehow came back. (force ghosts don't count because they are still technically dead). Before George sold Lucasfilm to Disney, Maul was probably the only major character to be brought back from the dead (I don't count Echo because he wasn't exactly a major character at that point, he was in like four episodes and had very little dialogue.) Everyone else in the the Clone Wars and his two trilogies who actually died, stayed dead. It was Disney who started to bring back characters left, right and center like: Boba, Cad Bane, Sabine somehow survived a being stabbed and so did Reva, Captain Phasma, Palpatine, Fennec, Rey and now Assaj Ventress. And there are probably so much more that I've missed. I would also like to clarify that I still like most Star Wars stuff under the Disney era but you can't deny that this epidemic of not letting characters die is a thing that appeared in the last few years and was hardly present when George was still around. And it's really annoying from a storytelling perspective.

They *die* but still linger with the protagonist, providing advice and exposition in key contexts all throughout the original trilogy. Sorry man, that's absolutely gonna count. You're just thinking of it in terms of it having been that way your whole life, an unquestioned part of the story that you've never really had a reason to think twice about before. But it's just another example of the absolutely undeniable fact that impermanent character death has been a part of the franchise since literally the beginning. Also, Ahsoka died and came back to life pre-Disney. Maul was indeed pre-Disney. The original trilogy was pre-Disney. Boba Fett died and came back (in Legends) pre-Disney, before Disney canonized that. Palps also was resurrected via cloning in Legends long before Disney acquired Star Wars and then canonized that in Ep IX. This isn't new, and it isn't a Disney thing. It's a Star Wars thing, and it always has been. And it's a perfectly fine, valid thing. The vast majority of characters who die stay that way, and there's almost always a good, real reason (the exceptions were Palps and Maul, though even the Maul decision eventually became brilliant and added a ton to the franchise) for them to come back when they do. Particularly in the FIloni era, it's been handled very well. The idea that a sacrifice requires permanent death in order to have significance is infantile nonsense. Tech sacrificed himself in the moment to save his family, and whether he survived or not, paid a steep, *steep* price for it. A true sacrifice, no permadeath required.

The bottom line is all the clones are dead except the ones on rebels, we know for a fact Snoke is created as well as the Emperor which means the only way they could complete those experiments means Omega is captured again and more than likely dies as a result, you can speculate to your hearts content but it isn't going to change the reality.

The vast majority of Star Wars characters who die stay dead. Characters came back from death more often in Game of Thrones than they have in the almost 50 year history of Star Wars.

Or when she appeared to die a second time in a sacrifice play and then came back a little over a season later? Or when Maul got cut in half and fell hundreds of feet only to survive and go on being a whole problem for *decades* more? Or in the original trilogy, when Kenobi and Yoda died but kept right on being part of the story (and even giving advice and such) throughout the rest of the original trilogy? On and on and on. This is Star Wars. It’s always been this.

Plus, they’ve been carefully setting up this turn since season one. Laying the foundation carefully and patiently, showing us the captured clones being tortured and experimented on, establishing the storyline with the other shadow agents starting in season 2, then having Tech fall but not leave a body, Hemlock “only being able to find” his goggles, on and on. They’ve been very deliberate and patient setting this all up. That’s the literal opposite of lazy.

I don’t think it sounds like Tech.

I didn't say last react but you are so gosh dang pretty, the two-tone eye shadow is nice. I noticed it pains you when you see clones: dying, dead, or blasting each other. The way the assassin moves is like Cody but the talk he had with Crosshair at the waterfall sounds of Tech, even the voice changer makes him sound like both of the. But we'll have to see when the reveal happens. They are still building to the Clone rebellion, but what Tarking said in season 2 sounds like lots of clones will not make it, BB included. The way I see them doing it would have to be similar to Umbara, sad day if thats how it happens. Another 🔥 reaction. Can't wait for next weeks. May the Force Be With You, Always. 🔥💚💚✌️

​@@dirtyhawkstv1575 anyone can be cloned.. the reason they had a problem with cloning at the end of clone wars was they drew too much from jango's dna sample that it had degraded to the point it was almost impossible to draw anything from it (cuz they drew from his sample a couple million times)..they wanted specific traits that were in jangos dna for the army, but if they want specific traits from crosshair, they would be able to clone him. That being said, this could also be commander cody

But also, as far as we’ve heard, Jango’s original code has degraded to the point it’s hardly usable, and I believe it’s also been established that kaminoans built in proprietary protections to prevent clones from being cloned. To protect their work and their control over it. Even if that’s not the case, though, it remains true that canonically it takes 10 years for clones to become adults. A current clone of crosshair would be about the apparent age of an 8 year old child, give or take.
