I love how Filoni brings back unresolved Clone War plots like the Zillo Beast and makes it important again, NOTHING is wasted in Star Wars.
I didn't make the Zillo Beast connection till the part where Tech was going over the files about the armor, after that it oddly clicked and I had a sudden: "Oh $h!t!" moment. Honestly never expected them to follow up on that plot thread, but I'm glad to see it. I also like that we did in fact get a confrontation with Cid right off the bat and that even Omega was fed up. it wasn't the full focus of the episode, but it def is set up for a potential fall out between the Batch and Cid, especially given they're coming back empty handed.

Kinda empty handed....Tech got a good amount of data

@@funnylilgalreacts True, though I get the feeling Cid won't see much "value" in that.
This proves that Star Wars needs to do more horror! I like how the title of this ep not only fits the changing of the Zillo Beast but also the BBs mentality as Hunter gives the information to Rex and Echo :)
Straight up Alien vibes from this episode and of course Dead Space as well just after playing through the Remake so that was fresh in my mind. Great seeing Clone Commandos again and love that were seeing Mount Tantiss where the Empire are conducting these cloning tests. This Mount Tantiss was first featured in the Thrawn Trilogy, Heir to the Empire and was where Grand Admiral Thrawn was able to clone crew men for his fleet after the fall of the Empire and the death of the Emperor. I could easily see Tantiss playing into Mandalorian and Ahoska as well. And of course seeing the Zillo Beast again after 12 years of no information about what why Palp wanted to keep the beast so finally that's revealed here.
I adore the sound design and abstract music in this episode, they make this "cartoon" feel like Alien!! Glad to see you recognise 70's and 80's film tidbits they place in the animations, its well done even if its imitation.
The weapon they used against the Zillo beast looks like the ion cannon that was mounted on tanks in the Clone Wars. Since the beast 'eats' energy I guess it's nervous system is affected much the same as a droid or ship that is hit by an ion charge (i.e. it shuts down for a while).
Actually there were some episodes dedicated to the Zilo beast’s fate that were produced after season 6 of CW, but they ended up being part of the unfinished arcs which Disney didn’t release since they had cancelled the show at the time. But now Filoni is finally filling the gaps :)

Where was that stated? That sounds interesting
The visuals of this show have been truly stunning. The explosion of the transport ship was fantastic. The final season of Clone Wars was just starting to show this level of sophisticated animation and Bad Batch has far exceeded what I thought I would ever see. Truly amazing work.
Zillo Beast!
What an amazing episode it was. The bad guy in the pod racing episode warned them of Sid
"I will be fine." "I'll be right back." "Just going to check out that noise." "It's probably nothing." There should be something like the Evil Overlord's list for "Famous Last Words".
yeah, this Zillo was a clone and much smaller than the one in Clone Wars. They shot it with ionized beams that pretty much stuns them because they can get through the hide gaps, just like what those tanks used to bring down the previous Zillo
This was a great episode, good tone throughout and like you always say, Filoni doesn't do filler. We hadn't seen that zillo beast since season 2 right?

Nice seeing Scorch again even despite the situation, he is the Clone Commando who still have color stripes on his armor (yellow in his case). Wonder where the rest of Delta Team is.
Lama Su was a male Kaminoan who hailed from a race of expert cloners on the planet Kamino. As Prime Minister, he personally oversaw the creation of the clone troopers.

lamassu is a celestial being from ancient Mesopotamian religion bearing a human head, bull's body, sometimes with the horns and the ears of a bull, and wings.
This whole episode reminded me of the first two Alien movies-- love when Star Wars does some horror vibes!
I think it was one of the best episodes I figured the zillo part when I first saw the creature but wasn't too sure and now where the bad batch goes from here will be interesting
This episode tied in a few things what happened to the cloned Zillow Beast what the remnants of the empire were doing with Grogu's blood and of course cloning Palpatine in the sequel trilogy
@jacktheflash8478

What does this have to do with Grogu’s blood?
Lama Su is the prime minister. Taun We was the one killed last season by Bane. They were the two from AotC.
My prediction is that Tech will get killed at the end of the season. They're doing so much with him and Omega that I see a giant bullseye on his back. I'm thinking that Syd will sell the Bad Batch out to the Empire and they'll nab Omega. I think Omega is so special because she has the key to solving the Clone's rapid aging. I think we'll lose Tech but gain that starship thief as a regular...though I'd prefer to get Cody.

Isn’t she special because she’s pure DNA? And looks like a 2 of your predictions came true

Your smile!! 😍💯 and Omegas reaction was deadass all of us I’d imagine 😂 She really said, F that I’m not going out there lmfao!!
I thought for sure Lama Su was killed after Rampart left the room and the door closed in that Season 1 episode. You heard blaster fire which made me think that he was dead. I didn’t think it was the blue donut sound…lol

Yes! Firefly! Space cowboys! I would rewatch every episode with you.
I know I like being here - I enjoy your reactions
Love your emotional reactions and is one of main reasons I subscribed to your channel. Lilgal you're going to love Battle Star Galactica and make sure you watch it from the beginning since it's alot like Andor (tension and suspense).
they implied he was going to be killed, but we didn't see it happen.
Zillo beast from Clone Wars ................😁 Nice!
The horror vibe, the music, and the total creepy devious evil of Dr. Hemlock makes me hope that this is the meaty part of the season. They can bring so many of the bread crumbs together into something epic.
Incredible Episode!
That's the Zilla beast from Clone Wars
Loved the horror-vibe in this one too. 👍
Great video... I'm glad to see them picking up the Tantiss Thread they teased at the end of Season 1. And setting up Dr Mengele, uhm... Hemlock... as the main protagonist for the tail end of this season. Up til now, only Rampart and Crosshair really knew the Batch had survived the bombardment of Kamino; and if Hemlock actively starts hunting the Batch, it is likely this will pull Crosshair back in. Not to mention that working for Cid becomes more dangerous with any segment of the Empire actively hunting them. oh, Lama Su is the Prime Minister; well... Former Prime Minister. Nala Se is the scientist.
Very much enjoyed this episode & your reaction I'm with you on two counts, I though Lama Su was dead & that the smaller Zillo looked like Audrey II
