U could always add straw to the top of the aubergines to keep the moisture level in

💚💚This might be a CRAZY THOUGHT..........Could you cut the lid down the middle (now it's in 2 pieces to fit around the plant without disturbing). Then drill 2 holes on each side close to the center cut you made and wire it back together in the center. with one of those foam twist ties or similair. That way you don't disturb the plant but still have the lid in place??????? You have enough to experiment with one. I turn the RPM's way down to drill holes in plastic....going slow really helps.

You could have rolled up newspaperround your aubergines to make a tube around them and fed the tube through the holes in the lids ? Or used one of those stretchy fine mesh you get over vegetables in the supermarket like the type over garlic bulbs they stretch like elastic

Tony you could always cut your lids in half and place them around the stems Quad grow if you see this you could always make your lids in two half’s that clip together you can pay me later for the suggestion

Not a criticism, just an observation...if you had placed your pots diagonally the other way, you could access the underneath of the bench easier.😊

Those are very healthy looking roots and plants Tony. Thanks for the demo of the quad grows I have ordered another 4 from Iain at Grown Local so I have 8 (bought 4 last year but a bit late so never got them set up in time). I have autopots which were great too. Be interesting to see the difference.

My Chilli's are in the final pots and on the self watering system in the polytunnel. They are loving the light and space.

Those 2L pots did the trick - plenty of root growth and nutrients to keep them going ! Did you say where you had them from ? They look soft-ish not rigid pots ?
