I participate in evaluation studies at Loreal and I tested this device on my hair. It's amazing. Great gray coverage... I mean salon quality results. Very little mess and super easy to do yourself. This will definitely replace my $$$ trips to the salon.

Sounds great but it would need to have the option of adding Olaplex, or similar into the mix. I am aware that L'Oréal are working on a bond repair hair system of their own. However I would like option to use Olaplex 1 which needs to be added to the dye before application.

still waiting for the release date. i need this for gray roots that grows too fast

I don't think bleaching will be an option for a long while due to the need for the powder component. With 40 shade cartridges to choose from though this will be great for toning after lightening.

Bleaching is a whole other level of mess that must be controlled, it's not like just adding a color on top.

I wish they made an artificial intelligence hair clipper too

It's a great idea, but clearly not really being used in the ad. That model's hair is obviously not a 9N. It's a simple oversight that makes me wonder how it got past the marketing department.

Is it going to be possible to mix two shades? I always mix 8.34 and 8.7 to get my custom color and I wonder if this device would allow me to do it. If yes, that's going to be a definite purchase for me.

Would it be nice if they would’ve supplied an answer my guess as a professional hair colorist, I would say no, I so this goes back to one of the main issues with box hair colours getting exactly the shade you want just in one box, hopefully go with the 40 shades that they offer in the cartridges there will be something similar to what you are hoping for Would be curious to know what the cartridges will sell for, they also seem to mention that you can reuse for touchups, but I think that this is not possible once the colour is exposed to the developer it will not be good after approximately one hour🤷‍♂️

@@thoralder4963 Thank you very much for your reply! I also think that they will not offer something "too custom". Unfortunately, with my copper hair, almost everything offered on the market is either too dark, or too vibrantly orange, or mixed with red hues. My own solution makes the color look so natural. I guess I will keep doing it manually :)

I wonder... what kind of colors will be available for this? Are we going to see rave girls applying their rainbow hairstyles with these? Cause I think it would work great for that.

1. They better be accessible to ALL hair types including people of colours hair types! I don't trust when they don't show examples on ALL hair types. 2. I hope hope hope they include fun rainbow colours too! 3. I wonder about bleach...would at home bleaching be safer with a device like this?

If you regularly color your hair, you never apply it from scalp to ends. You apply to the new growth only. It doesn’t look like it’s saturating evenly. You need to work the color in with your fingers on the scalp. It’s just one of many projected reasons. If you can’t afford to go to a salon, go to a beauty school where at least you have students doing hair that are ready to graduate and their work is checked by an Instructor.

L'Oreal / Lancome conglomerate owns 35 brand names and I will use NONE of them.... l used L'Oreal for years from hair color, foundation, lipstick, everything.. as of 2 weeks ago learning about this depp/ herd trial, I cleared my house of everything L'Oreal... I will never buy another L'Oreal product as long as I live. P.S. I'm NOT a Johnny Depp fan ..but fair is fair... Heard is a piece of trash.
