yea its all about the speed of the bullet. if its a slow ass bullet it doesn't require a large suppressor. something like a 5 or 7 in barrel 357 mag or a equivalent 44 mag would require a HUGE suppressor to make the same level of sound reduction.

Thought that was in the box yesterday! This is just about the only way to own a pistol here in the UK. Vets , dangerous game managers and county ‘dispatchers’ (who will respond to calls for injured deer and the like on the highways ) can, in very limited circumstances, get a licence to own on; but the scrutiny and oversight that vastly exceeds that which you guys go through for NFA items. Great series showcasing your suppressor knowledge!

For those wondering about the Veterinary name: according to sources, the pistol was actually purpose built with the idea of dispatching harmed/sick but not yet deceased large livestock or wild game that were disrupting life in a neighborhood (specifically doing things like blocking traffic, etc) without disturbing other animals or people in the area. Because of that, it needs to be powerful enough to do the damage required (hence 9mm) but still be quiet enough. Also, according to spec, the VP9 can be used with supersonic loads and still not produce the supersonic crack as the barrel vents enough to make it a subsonic round. I'm sure a purpose built subsonic round would be quieter (less venting always will be) but fun to know.

For sure, those usually don’t make it to a video though. No reason for me to review the latest Glock or S&W when there are tons of other channels with millions of subscribers to do those. I really do these when I can make time or have a few days off. I do appreciate you and everyone else that watches the channel. Thanks again and have a great week.

The real assassin weapon is the Soviet PSM pistol in 5.45 × 18mm caliber Its small size and high-impact ammunition were clearly developed for assassins usually KGB agents and hitmans Although assassins also prefer to use 0.22 pistols because they hit a small hole and don't get much blood out of it and completely silent with a silencer

You have to remember that the original Welrod that it was developed from was designed to take out sentries from a relatively short distance away, the whole point of it was not to say alarm a larger force who might be in a barracks only a short distance away, supposedly the De Lisle carbine (.45 acp) was just as quiet but it had a longer range and lasted longer between silencer needing to be serviced, both of these weapons are silenced as opposed to being suppresed and thus require subsonic ammunition, whilst these weapons do make a noise they were really designed so that the noise they produce is not noticeable beyond about 50Meters, i.e even if you do hear something it doesn't sound like a shot.
