"The art world needs to be less complicated. In reality, it's very simple." -Christofer Högman

Christofer Högman goes on to share more about his perspective on art. He believes that at the end of the day, the key is to create art that brings joy to both the artist and the audience. For him, the simplicity of this idea contrasts with the perceived complexities of the art world. By encouraging people to reconnect with their inner child, he aims to evoke a sense of pure and unburdened creativity.
Högman also emphasises the use of a diverse range of tools, seamlessly blending traditional and digital mediums. The incorporation of a digital 3D printer, iPads, and Photoshop in his artistic process reflects his willingness to embrace new technologies, making his art both contemporary and versatile.
In essence, Christofer Högman advocates for a more straightforward and enjoyable approach to art, highlighting the universal joy that can be found in the creative process and its appreciation by others.

I completely understand! Handmade goods possess a unique charm and character that machines simply cannot replicate. The imperfections and individuality inherent in handcrafted items often weave a narrative and infuse a personal touch. The human touch and craftsmanship embedded in these creations are undeniably appealing. While machines excel at producing flawless replicas, there's an authenticity in handmade items that deeply connects with people. It's a celebration of the artisan's skill and the distinctive nature of each piece that renders them worthy of the extra investment. I believe Chris strikes a harmonious balance between these aspects!

Thanks for sharing your perspective! The enduring charm of traditional art, especially oil paintings, is indeed fascinating. It's interesting to think about how the evolving art landscape may impact the rarity and desirability of traditional mediums. In a tech-dominated age, the craftsmanship and tactile experience of traditional art hold a special allure. I agree that as these techniques become rarer, they may gain more value, deepening appreciation for the skills involved.🥰 I'd love to hear more thoughts from our viewers on this topic!

It's not exactly the type of painting that I admire, but his way of understanding art is very, very interesting. 😮 I don't like this A.I "art" explosion that fills the internet, but this is different. An ordinary person who orders an A.I to create a castle (without even knowing how to draw a circle) is not the same than someone like Christofer, who is a professional artist who uses this technology to optimize the creative process.🌟🌟 I don't think oil painting will disappear. 🤔 To the extent that everyone believes themselves to be an artist 🙄, oil painting is surely going to be less popular.🔽🔽 But people like Christofer and his audience are going to keep it alive. 🎨🖌 Great video! 😛 Thanks! ❤❤

I think it's important to remember that ai is merely a regurgitation of images already made by humans, and collected by the machine. If you boil it down, it's like stealing every single content creators work (ie ideas/concepts from each individual unique life on this earth etc) that is on the net, and slicing it all up into tiny pieces, then making 'new' collage images from them, so as no single image can be recognised as the stolen property, and of course no credit needed . I choose to distance myself from this..it feels unusual. Interesting interview - I agree with Chris on the 'vague' concept of faces/spaces...I've come to realise that the less you reveal, the greater the gift to the viewer, as you allow them to partake in the art, by 'finishing the story'.

I appreciate your thoughtful reflection on AI. I'd like to add that many artists, recognising the ethical concerns you've raised, choose to utilise AI by focusing solely on their own creations without blending in external images. This approach ensures a more conscientious use of technology, respecting the integrity of their work and avoiding potential issues related to repurposing or amalgamating content without proper credit. It highlights the importance of artists maintaining control over their artistic narratives while navigating the possibilities that AI presents. It's encouraging to see how some creators are finding ways to harness the benefits of AI while upholding ethical standards in their artistic endeavours.

AI does miracles today, but the idea is still the most important thing, just like the code in programming, the unique sequence of words creates masterpiece, and it's absolutely impossible to come up with a really good idea, words that describe the image you want to create. It's so simple and yet impossible for nearly all the artists. Do you need to have phd in art to paint stones and stack them up onto each other? Is it rocket science to stick jems on a scull or put a mirror ball on a 100 bucks Greek sculpture? No, all you need is the good taste and sense of beauty.

I like the paintings..these capture attention, but I have a reservation about copying from photos and calling it inspiration..what is an artist? an artist who can think, when a person is not converted to an artist, he or she is a draftsman, a technical guy. An artist is different, a thinking being..for example, if i am an artist and draw an erotic scene, it must or must not instigate carnality in viewers, it is the artist's thinking, and the process he or she wants to convey..similarly to a landscape, a still image or even abstract.. but when i heard, " I look at photos from the internet, and sometimes use AI for composition", i instantly felt, this man is no artist, perhaps a person with good drawing and painting skills, but not an artist..he is not a thinking being..

Thank you for sharing your perspective. It's true that the definition of an artist can vary widely, and there are different approaches to creativity. While some may view using reference photos or AI in art creation as lacking in originality, others see it as a tool for exploration and expression. Ultimately, the interpretation of art and what it means to be an artist is subjective and can vary from person to person. What's important is the intention behind the artwork and the message the artist wishes to convey.
