Drawn: Anita Taylor - in the Artists Studio
Artist, educator and curator - and founder of the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize Project - Anita Taylor has drawing at the heart of everything she does. We go inside the artist's studio to see her at work and to find out what inspires her. This film shows her preparing for a major exhibition at The Customs House Gallery in South Shields, curated by Esen Kaya. Film by Robin Fearon of WeLoveMedia.

The pace of this video and the artist are so ❤❤❤😊
What a gentle, tender voice. Most intelligent ideas. Could listen to you at length You work is great. Thank you
This is a beautiful portrayal of your work and practice. I was so privileged to meet you in Trowbridge at Drawing Projects. after having loved your drawings for years. Very key and poignant when you said 'portrayal' not portrait. Thank you for your intelligent scrutiny of the practice of drawing.
GREAT. It' s a beautiful work. You are a great artist. I loved your paintings!! But... I am an artist. Lucky to be able to do big paintings. In Brazil ??? My God!! When you doesn't have conditions ... it's a hell. I'm old and very tired.
Lovely to hear an artist speak and draw at the same time. Her work is amazing and the stories about them. Thank you!

Glad you enjoyed it!
It's lovely to see these drawings and to hear the drawer talk about drawing.
Anita your work is extraordinary! The scale of the self portraits and your understanding for the current situation in which certain "artists" tend to speedup their process reflects your message clearly on your work. It is not simply a self portrait it is also a statement to the art industry- a wakeup call for the artworld to pay more attention to the expression of oneself. Love it!
Thank you for the metaphor of 'the long distance runner.' That inspires, encourages me as it seems some think it's a 'pumping out' process. I'll get back to the 'paint mine' now!
A beautiful clear and inspiring message.
Inspirational, thank you for sharing you process and works so willingly to a broad audience.
Beautiful works full of feeling, thank you for sharing
What a wonderful insight into Anita's work and attitudes - a really invigorating watch.

I drew the very same dimensions in high school, the subjects faces large scaled, you are awesome, love your talent-"keep on's" !
You are a natural artist. I love your images. They come around deeply and simple, but strong and firm. Do you have a book about your art. Please tell me.
Como hablan tus obras! Qué logro! Admirable...como me gustaría que fuera activado el subtítulo a español latino. Gracias amiga! Salud desde Argentina ❤️💖💖💖‼️💖‼️‼️
What a lovely hand mirror
You have very interesting philosophy thoughs. Together with your art work makes a very attractive formula. Please write your thoughts and save them. They complete your performance. ❤

Hi Gem, these drawings are made on a 300gsm, not surface, Bockingford watercolour paper that comes in 10m rolls.
How is looking in a mirror different from looking at a photograph? Honest question.
Before I clicked, I see three faces in the second picture
