I attended Kevin's latest workshop. Oh my goodness! What a wonderful experience! If you have the opportunity to attend one, do not hesitate.
Kevin's classes are fantastic. It's a very supportive environment. Over the years it's become a big "painting family".
Wonderful tips Kevin for people wanting to teach. I think they would love a second part. 🌺
yes please do a second part. You are a wonderful teacher.
YES! I'd love a part 2!

Hi Kevin, great video thank you. I have a question... How do you figure out how long it will take to paint a painting for the class? And staying on time? For example if it takes me 1 hour to paint how long will it take to teach? Thank you I would like another video please.
How do you decide what to charge each person for the class?
Don’t need certification … who would complain about a friggin art class ? I wouldn’t even worry about it . Art isn’t formal.
This is great, thanks for sharing. What would also be a REAL bonus is if you could share how you go about actually teaching the class ... the steps, how you break it up into sections, how you get a complete newbie artist to start on paintings that come out looking like your own ... I'd love to give lessons, but don't know how to go about actually setting up the lessons
Sorry have another question! How do you know how much to charge? And do you charge mileage? Do you do sip and paint nights? Less than 3 hours?
Would you consider doing a class in California?
were are these kind of workshops held
Kevin, do you teach classes if so where
How did you advertise when you were just getting started? Or did you already have a following by then..?
Porfavor. Poder subtitular en español. Gracias.
My only question is WHEN IS YOUR NEXT WORKSHOP IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA?? 😃 I would love to attend! 😁Thank you for sharing your talent with the world! 🎨🤩 You are amazing!!

LOL, it's been a while. It is harder to travel with the kids now (I moved to TN from Southern CA) But maybe I will make it back there again sometime.

Do youHAVE to have certification to teach oil painting.?

Not at all. There are some reasons why it may be nice to have one. But you can really advertise your own paintings on places like FB and online. People will just like the subject no matter if you are certified with a company or not.

I totally get why you are not certified. Its like the painters that are BRI certified for example are sorta stuck doing the same subject of paintings
🦊👏👏👏👏👏
Am I wrong to never touch my students work for fixing - I help by instruction or separate side demo - it just feels wrong to go onto their canvas - it must be THEIR OWN
Would you say that teaching art classes is an exhausting thing with 30 people? Arent you on your feet for the whole day? Do you get to take breaks

Yes, yes, and not really LOL. We do have a lunch break. That is the reason I only do 2 workshops a year. If I did more, I would have to do smaller classes, or have a permanent space, so that I don't have to setup and take down.
