@@ReadySetRC I'm looking into the PROTOform PFRX Rallycross body clear. Took me a good minute to find the format I was looking for. Now gotta find a good price and where to get it.

Cool build, Arrma does need to come out with a sick rally car!! I would look into getting the 1/8 Infraction Mega dBoots Katar wheels/tires. On and off road tread for Rally style. Just my 2 cents! Can't wait for a run video!! 💯💪

I have a senton 3s I've been slowly building into a rally car. The Traxxas fiesta st body is a perfect fit for the wheelbase. Good to know the vendetta bumpers fit, looks great. 👍👍

i’ve spent a couple years trying to convert chassis that wernt made for rally after thousands spent and numerous hours wasted i learned… just buy a wr8. truly is the best rally car and one of the best RTR rc ever made.

@nick murphy This hobby was started by ingenuity. Taking something and making it your own. We should never quit on that. That being said you must be new to the channel. I own two WR8's (Ken Block and the Subaru), Losi Ten Rally X, Traxxas Rally, Losi 5ive WRC Rally, LC Racing PTG-2 Rally, Carisma 24th scale Rally, an Ofna GTP2E I convert to rally, and had a Hobby King BSR Rally. It was those RTR's that got me to have the desire to build. But maybe it's different for me, I got into this hobby building RC's.

If it took you that much money and time to not even be able to develop a rally car, then I have to wonder what kind of chassis were you trying to start with. It's actually really easy and there's a couple ways to do it. 1/10th scale rally cars (true 1/10th scale, not "we call it 1/10th scale because it's a 1/10th scale platform") are bathtub chassis touring cars with off-road tires and the suspension set to increase ride height. The Tamiya TT02R and XV02 are both examples of this, although the XV02 also has taller suspension towers and more upright shocks as it's also designed to be used for SUVs. 1/8th scale rallycross cars (including "1/10th scale but not really" cars like the Traxxas Rally) are built out of 4WD SCTs, 1/8th scale buggies or 1/8th scale GT cars, with a sedan or hatchback body on top and off-road tires. The WR8 follows this formula as well, just with a smaller platform. 1/5th scale rally cars are literally just 1/5th scale SCTs under the body.

I love rally cars I have my eyes on the zd rally 1/8th car luckily it comes as a roller also

@Django 246 I had that one when it was a Hobby King BSR Rally. Fun car. Stock tires was not good and it was limited to 4s. Had to do some rearranging to get the pinion from hitting the battery tray. ZD Racing looks like it correct that stuff. I'm not sure on the tire compound though.

Definitely would buy it! We asked Jason that when we interviewed him on the show. He said that would be a cool idea, maybe they just might... Good Video!!

OC it would be nice if Arrma released an official rally car but as Losi/Associated/Vaterra found (Traxxas stuck with it but ended up narrowing their rally to make it a little more scale in appearance) , the short course size class just doesn't have the popularity that you find with the 1/10 touring size class. Still have my Ten Rally X too though, just in case 1/10 SC size makes a comeback!

That's cool man funny enough I did the exact same thing only I used GRP's for the tires and a proline Toyota Supra body. I did however change all the electronics I went with a 2050kv spektrum motor and the 160A ESC 😎👍🏾 💯% fun !!!!!!

This will be the final metamorphosis of my LWB Stretched Granite, without a doubt. The platform is so versatile that it would lend well to a Rally car. Arrma has many options open to them, and Rally is just the beginning. Stock Car, dirt oval, CanAm, as well as Camel GT and GTP series. Well I'm off to Delta to see what piques my interest.

How is the suspension travel? Very creative. That's what I love about Arrma; they're like legos and you can plug and play anything. I think GRPs would work better and you would have to cut less of the body.

@IROC-RC After the first run I'm going to need to tighten up the rear. These shocks were installed before Proline came out with shocks for the 3S lineup, just to give you an idea how long I've been doing the Proline shocks on 3S😊 Travel is good though. I thought about GRP's but I have that setup on my Traxxas Rally and soon to be Losi Ten Rally X. Was looking for something a little different and the ability to go on-road and off-road. Surprising enough these tires did very well off-road.

With the death of Ken Block I'm waiting to see if Arrma, Losi or another rc company partners with the family to release a tribute rally car. HPI & Team Associated both have a Hoonicorn. Team Associated also has a Hoonitruck. Traxxas has done a Hoonigan rally car. Heck even ZD has a knockoff Hoonicorn. My HPI RS4 Hoonicorn has become a shelf queen now that Ken is gone... R.I.P

Nicely done. I've been thinking about picking up a 3s Infraction slider and doing something similar... If Arrma were to release a proper rally, I think they should use the 6s Infraction chassis and simply use wider arms along with taller shocks and larger rally tread tires. You already know they will kill it with the bodyshell and it would probably scale up to about 1/6. This would be a fun size that could go over more terrain, and it would only take a newly designed body and wheels/tires from Arrma. Who's with me?
