    I am recovering from an ankle surgery and this machine is such a life saver. I am a wrestler and usually also run at least twice a week, to be able to finally get some good intense cardio sessions in again means so much to me.

    Love this machine - used it at PT. Unfortunately I've never seen it in a gym/health club before.

    Thinking of using this at my gym. I run 3 times a week (6 miles sundays) but currently can't as I have suffered a knee injury. I've had medical advice not to do any leg exercises; even the cross trainer! I want to keep my cardio up so i'll see how this goes.

    Thank you i also just saw this in the gym and was wondering what it does and how to use it. Quick question doe's it burn arm fat ?

    You can only burn fat around your body, you can’t target it

    I heard that this is good for people does boxing & helps core strength in grappling for like MMA & Judo (to some degree) but....I don't know how true that is What do you guys think? Does this machine help boxers or Judo, MMA fighters?

    I should imagine so. It must get blood rushing to the arms whilst building endurance for them. I presume it could help with the speed of your punches too; I'm no expert though, so take that with a pinch of salt 😅

    It definitely does. I’m starting out in judo, and it’s done wonders for my cardio, muscular endurance, and shoulder mobility.

    I'm doing 14 minutes of pedaling for cardiac rehabilitation. No question it has benefited my strength, but I find it boring. I just wanted to hear comments from other instructors. You mentioned 30 minutes "for endurance". How can anybody (who is otherwise healthy) be willing to pedal for this long?

    I know what you mean, I’ve done 30 minutes on a arm bike when I was limited in exercise due to foot surgery, I have been training many years and I find you can easily exercise for an hour if you break up the exercise for example, do 10 minutes arm bike ,10 minutes cross trainer / or bike/ or stepper / rowing ect then go and do 10 more minutes on the arm bike and repeat this way you will get your 30 minutes in and not go crazy with boredom, also on some arm bikes you can “ peddle “ forwards or backwards, try 1 minute in each direction it breaks it up into 1 minute chunks and time passes quicker. I also had cardiac rehab 11 years ago for a Mitral valve repair so I know how you feel, keep up the exercise 👍🏻

    I'm suffering from a stress fracture im my hip from running, I was at a stage where I could cycle but have found that cycling is also irritating it now. Can an upper body ergometer provide good endurance work? I would like to use one evenings for 45 minutes Z2 work. I'm looking a second hand Monark with a 12kg flywheel. Thanks.

    I am VERY easily bored. Yet I just did an hour on mine today. I break it up into chunks so that I have a series of marks I want to hit throughout the session. The other thing that happens is that it becomes hypnotic and the time passes quicker than you’d expect. Equally, you can break it up with other exercises. It’s a great way to warm up and cool down too.
