The Ark Encounter - Kentucky

The Ark Encounter - Kentucky
The Ark Encounter was opened on July 7, 2016 and it's the full replica based on a Biblical scale. It's 510 feet long, 85 feet wide and 51 feet high. It's operated by Answers in Genesis, a group that also runs the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky. This is a theme park, zoo, restaurant and museum. It's located in Grant County Kentucky and is open year-round. There were well over one million visitors during it's first year of operation from July 2016 - July 2017. There are models of Dinosaurs, massive timbers in the center and multiple decks with attractions.

    The exterior is awe-inspiring. However, 30 minutes (if not sooner) into the tour, you will likely realize that the entire story has been HIJACKED by corporate Christianity. The entire story is morphed into aligning completely with the Theory of Evolution and political correctness. It borders on wokeness and hoping to appease the NEW Christian Left taking over many churches in the past 5 years. Perhaps the original creators had a biblical vision for the presentation.....but that is not the case for our visit in July 2021.....very disappointed.

It doesn't matter what some Catholic Religious person comes up with if it is against the Bible's teachings. The Bible is the word of God given to us through writers who witnessed God's presence. "Then how come real science DNA proves the fact humans are more related to chimpanzees than any other animals? Huh, HUH??!!!" Real Science? What differenciates real Science from false one? Science is a process, or well it should be. Did you know that scientists that through their research realize that God is real and evolution is false often get fired from their Jobs? Also evolution approving papers will get more funding than creation proving ones which basically leads to people wanting to prove evolution and giving more effort in trying to do so. Also the only thing that more DNA matchup proves is that these animals are more similar to us but not made like us and neither related to us. In that sense you could say we are basically mice as well as their DNA matches up very closely too but they are nothing like us. Also if we talk about real science then what stand does science have on viewing porn? Look it up there will be many different opinions, try figuring out what the real science is there!

    ConservativeAnthem It seems that Ark Encounter, the $100 million Noah’s Ark theme park in Kentucky, isn’t doing so great. According to the Louisville Courier Journal, around 860,000 tickets were sold for the Ark between July 2017 and June 2018, which falls pretty far short of the 2 million in annual ticket sales predicted by Ken Ham, the Ark’s creator, before it opened. (A spokesperson for the attraction told the Courier Journal that ticket sales did not reflect the number of people who visited due to annual passes and free tickets for under fives. They put the actual number closer to a million. Ham has previously blamed multiple factors for the underwhelming performance of the attraction. From local business owners to atheists. But is there a simpler explanation? Is it possible that people don’t want to visit the Ark because it sucks? This was also TAX PAYER DOLLARS that funded this Ark. it is not living up to Ham’s promises. It is a waste of money.

Haven't you seen some lion tamers and bear tamers before? Think of the mighty elephant and how big it is. Yet, elephants can be caught by man and used in circus acts. Orcas which are lethal killing machines are used today in sporting. You would see humans doing tricks with these killer whales in the water. We have dominion over other animals today. Wouldn't it then be possible that humans then could also hunt down and even tame the dinosaurs? Or don't you think that if dinosaurs were alive today we would still be able to subdue them?

  • @MrDefreese

    @MrDefreese

    Errrr. Of course fossils exist. That's how we know the timeline of the existence of different creatures. Humans have existed for about 200,000 years; before that there were earlier hominids, before that, the common ancestor of chimps and mankind (around 1-2Million years ago), on and on back through an unbroken chain supported by fossil evidence to the first, original life forms. If you want a good understanding of what happened, read just the introduction to Darwin's book 'On the Origin of Species....'.

All feline species do not have the same genetic information. The DNA is similar, yes, but it's not the same. Why are there dozens of ancient flood myths? The biblical flood myth isn't even the original. Heck, Zoroastrianism existed way before the abrahamic religions and it has a creation, messiah, and flood myth. Isn't it obvious later religions copied those story elements? Also, why believe the bible to be the true religious story over the 1000s of others that existed before and after it? Even Hinduism predates Judaism. How come there is no scientific evidence among all fields of life science that show ANY evidence of a global flood a few thousand years ago? How come we NEVER find dinosaur fossils on the same rock strata layers as modern mammal fossils? Not one example! If anybody could find one example of those fossils together, you would change the world of science forever. Heck, find any fossils from different eras together and you'd have evolution turned on it's head. (forgeries and proven hoaxes don't count) How did the animals from all the different continents get to the Ark? Did they swim across oceans? Did the kangaroos take a giant leap over the water? What about the aquatic life in the oceans and freshwater? How did they survive the flood? The salinity and pH levels would have killed most fish we still see today due to the brackish water mixtures. Fish can die easily just from a home aquarium without the exact levels and tempatures they need. I could go on and on and on.

    Better read your bible dear. Jesus appeared 2368 years later. You might want to pay attention to the bible because it says in Matthew 24:37 But as in the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. It’s a warning ⚠️. Here’s the good news! Salvation is as simple as your ABCs. Admit you are a sinner in need of a Saviour. There is a small hotel privately owned renovated across the road we all stayed in, and were less than a mile from the Ark driveway. Decent prices nice people and breakfasts too.

What surprise me was how clean the bathrooms and how private the bathroom stalls were. The people at the Ark Encounter were very nice. You don't only see people from states visiting but people from other countries as well. If I was going to do it again It would be after June they have extended open hours from 9am-8pm. The world was full of violence and sexual immorality, just like it is today. It’s important to have your heart right with God because no one knows the time Jesus will return, it could be anytime. @@Kdaniels2009 You silly person. The world has always been full of violence and 'sexual immorality' whatever that means. The fact that you think it's worse today shows you have little knowledge of the history of the planet or human history. The Bible isn't a book, honey. It's a collection of stories compliled by the Council of Nicea from a number of sources. They chose some and rejected others. The Book of Enoch, for example, was rejected on the basis that it was less believable because it contained stories of Giants created by the mating of Angels with Humans. Christian Cultists, around the world, have believed for thousands of years the day of Judgement was upon us. They've all been wrong. There was no Biblical Flood. This has been confirmed by Geologists. There was no Noah's Ark. It's just a story, dear. It's biologically impossible to breed a population from two individuals. When the Bible stories were written, they were ignorant of Science and Biology. Don't make the same mistake they did. Jesus was just a Man. God doesn't exist. There is only Psychics, Chemistry and Biology. Don't be stupid like a Trump supporter.

    The designer of this "vessel" should have consulted the Ron Wyatt museum in Nashville, TN, to get the proper dimensions based on the ancient Royal Egyptian cubit that Moses was familiar with, and to consider Wyatt's more likely version for the appearance of the Ark. Not a bad guess here, but I would be very surprised if the Ark did have a bulbous bow hull form, seeing the craft was not powered, but rather designed as a stable cargo carrying vessel to simply survive the Flood. There would have been no eve-like roof structures on the squat superstructure. These would not have survived even a few hours of the extreme winds and mountainous seas encountered in this unprecedented event.

    Noah’s Ark: this is the most intriguing, beautifully presented, history, that I have seen. The replicated version of the Ark, now a museum, In Kentucky, is spectacular. It is a keeper.

    GOD IS AN OPIATE FOR THE MASSES Calling all Christians “weak minded” because we believe this is quite unnecessary. Besides that you do realize we don’t have enough proof to say if Noah’s ark is ripped from Gilgamesh right? The Old Testaments age before being written down in 1440 B.C. is unquantifiable due to the culture of the Jewish people. They would pass down the Old Testament through oral tradition. There are also key differences between both accounts as well such as the motivation for why the earth was flooded.

    I went there in probably 2017 or 2018. It was great. The structure itself is awe inspiring. And there's a lot of great displays and information on every level of the ark. Very detailed information. They have a restaurant/mess hall next to it which had decent food. And they even have a small little zoo -- which I hope someday they turn into a large zoo. Seeing lots of real animals next to Noah's ark would be great fun, especially for the kids!

    Has anyone ever noticed how many people work in even a small zoo? Noah didn't have but himself and his sons. Makes you wonder. No, not you, who will believe any fantasy. Makes me wonder.

    @@stevepierce6467 And straight off the bat you fall into your own dilemma, You suggest there's no evidence of Noah's Ark or of God and so I'm already aware you've done no research or study on either subject. Have you heard of Israel? Does Jerusalem exist and is it a stumbling block or in any way contentious does it cause problems between Israel and the Palestinians today or for any other country that try's to mediate on their behalf? How many times throughout history have countries tried to destroyed the Jews? Have you tried to understand the Bible for yourself with an open mind? Have you read Romans chapter 1? These are questions which if you're honest with yourself you will have to ask again whether God exist!
