Tithes are to pay for the cost of church and fund programs. Ideally of course, but we all know how that usually goes.

A quick search will show you that very little of this is really in the Sumerian texts. I can't find any source for a complete story like this. But it's really interesting how the culture and technology to build giant buildings and the focus on astronomy appeared in different parts of the world around 7000 years ago. Also the creation myths often has this in common, gods, giants, angels residing in the sky. Creating human kind and it's habitat. Even the old nordic mythology, old and far from the "biblical" areas talks about the original giants that created gods that created Ask and Embla, the first humans. This is how genetic engineering would be described if you have no knowledge or language for it. Ask and Embla lived in Midgard, a walled and protected land (Eden) Anyway, an entertaining theory and the most complete and logical creation theory i think 😀

If you look at most religions there are strikingly similar patterns. Most gods come from somewhere away from earth. Most gods desire gold, which is known today for being one of the best metals for technological constructs and travelling through space. Many religions depict beings or structures that in today’s time would can be considered as UFO’s. Whether these religions are right/wrong truthful/false it can be said that most of our ancestors believed that their god/gods were what we would call aliens today as they are beings that come “space” and are more powerful than us.

Nice video summary of 1976 book The Twelfth Planet, by author Zecharia Sitchin. I was hoping for a more realistic account of Sumerian mythology, but this was cool. I guess leaving that tidbit out of the video/ description (as of writing this I can't see any mention of it) helped make the video more appealing (as evidenced by the 3mill views). Bit worrying how a lot of commenters immediately assumed this everything here is factual though. A quick search would have told you portions were from a 1976 book, and not actual Sumerian myth. Not bashing people for believing or anything. But I would recommend further researching things for yourself.

There is not, in fact, evidence to support it all. The source for this video is a conspiracy theory written in the 70s by someone who took a couple of quotes completely out of context to extrapolate an absurd pseudoscience fantasy, one that actual scientists unanimously agree is ridiculous, not actual Sumerian beliefs. It's a crude bastardization of real people's actual religion and culture crammed into a modern lens it doesn't fit for the sole purpose of getting views on KZread.

It maybe the igigi according to the video. I read once igigi are half human half animals. With annuaki DNA, the right formula and adjustments we came about. Almost like a hybrid laboratory. I'm just guessing though.

Belief is foolish. You should know though that more tablets have been made available from a private collection. Many are now expanding this story of our creation, but as usual there are many deceivers with agendas, and of course just fools. It is all interpretations as translation is difficult. I find though after hearing/reading several versions, that the big picture is there.

It's interesting that a lot of the ancient bible stories used the ancient mesopotamian legends as their genesis.

Annunaki is actually a compound word in Sumerian. It means "Of An and Aki", which were the Male and Female pair of creator gods in Sumerian Mythos. This compound word basically means that the Sumerian Gods are descendants of An and Aki. It's like they were Chromosomal Adam and Mitochondrial Eve rather than they came from space.

It came here the same way humans did and when we did , the only reason their story’s stayed so close the “original” story is because they didn’t have the problem of so many different cultures so close together . So the myth got mixed and melded by other cultures over time . So them being stuck here in North America probably means it’s closer to original then what was deciphered by historians .

Earth back then was considered a neutral ground so to speak, with its original inhabitants. It took a lot of liberties. I'd like to see their sources for a planet called Nibaru. I have read translations of a lot of Sumerian mythology and have never come across any reference to Nibaru before. The only time I have ever heard of Nibaru is in connection to a new-age (20th century) dooms-day cult. It is, however, true that many of the biblical stories (q.v. Adam and Eve, the flood and the garden of Eden) were later post-exilic insertions into the biblical text. Adamu however comes from an Assyrian creation text, not a Sumerian one.

This video seems to be entirely based on the books of Zechariah Sitchen. Like Velikovsky and Von Daniken before him, he drew on mis-translations and mis-constructions to support his pseudoscience and pseudohistory. Sitchen taught himself Sumerian Cuneiform whilst working for a New York shipping company and used his presumed expertise to translate Sumerian texts. His translations have been condemned by academics as being wildly inaccurate.

This is not an accepted interpretation of the Annunaki. Archaeologists and historians have thoroughly rejected this theory which only came about in 1968 when Erich Von Daniken released a book and used the Old Testament as proof of his claims. This isn’t real mythology.

I️ agree. I️ wanted to believe this story but it seems like a stretch when you read the translations of the tablets, not this paraphrased version.

You have to think. We are talking about extremly acient people talking about the orbiting of planets in our solar system. As far as we knew people at this time should not of even had the compacity of coming up with ideas of what the lights in the night sky were. Pretty incredible stuff

The Chinese have a “myth” that a certain “people” came to them thousands of years ago and taught them how to manufacture, build, and create architecture, design art, improve medicine, etc. They were called the Sons of the Reflected Light. Maybe a nod to their reflective uniforms or machines they flew in.

So they send his unit to go find them, when they neared the ambush sight, they found the equipment & tattered pieces of uniform of the missing unit outside a huge cave. Upon checking the cave he said it was just a deep descent, like the edge off a mountain. With no equipment to go down, they instead decided to make defense positions outside the cave entrance until whatever lived there comes out. Next thing a huge spear is being thrown from inside of the cave quickly killing 1 of the men. The thing that charged out of the darkness surprised them as it was a giant male with red hair, covered in animal skin & his body all dirty. Immediately out of fear, they fired upon his face. It took alot of bullets but eventually he fell. When they called for air evacuation, the giant was wrapped up & taken to their closest base with the large airplanes. There they were relieved by another squad who put him on the plane(to who knows where) the soldier says him & his men were asked many times by his superiors what they saw & each time they told the exact same truth. "A giant with red hair, 6 fingers, 6 toes, attacked us" but they told them to change their story, even forcing them to sign some kind of form that says if they speak out it would be a sign of treason. They never saw the giant they killed ever again. So turns out the reason America never left the middle east after the war ended is because of the contact, they think there's more in the mountains. Apparently all this happened in 2002, 1 of the surviving soldiers told this story in 2011.

Similar to the argument of if UFOs are really interstellar aliens. The technology needed to travel interstellar distances at time scales manageable for biological beings would likely propel a civilization into some higher form of reality. As in they would likely have to manipulate gravity, and therefor the flow of time, and are therefor ascending the 4th dimension of our observed experience. They'd likely focus on further ascension at that point, rather than horizontal travel lol

It doesn’t matter how advanced they are if they don’t have the resources to put their theories into reality. That makes sense to me from a logical standpoint. I just wish the author sourced his vid so that people who wanted to delve deeper could look at the criticisms of the interpretations of the myths he used.
