Accomplishing and building things of eternal value is the only way.
This is not an antidote, but how to avoid. I thought this video will explain about curing pain from regret, but no its about how to prepare not to regret when you elderly

Exactly. I was looking for how to let go of my regrets or how to live with it.

It's surprising how little useful insight there is on the media. I feel like such an important question deserves a serious and thoughtful answer. The speaker seems passionate but her talk is mostly vapid.

The antidote of regret, of course, gratitude. Doing wrong things isn't wrong as long we learned the lesson.

I have watched several Tedx talks on this and they all seem to be about avoiding regret, and to some extent say "if you have things you already regret, you're screwed." Thanks a lot guys. (Eyeroll)
Great, I'm going to still feel this big regret when I die.
Finally someone that answers the question
I love this!!! You’re amazing.
Awesome presentation! We work with the elderly and concur on both the research and the experience Kimberly presented. Well done!!!
I think your this talk has opened my eyes which have closed for a long time thank you for this keep shining keep sharing your thoughts I hope as this helped will help someone else 🙂😊
Being a motivational speaker is the LAST thing I’d want to be. But that shows we all want different things in life. Do you folks 👍☝️🙏❤️
Absolutely beautiful words ..that just improved my view of regret 🤗🤗
Thank you Kim. Was going through a rough day and this literally cheered me up.🙂

Thank you so much
There is no actual cure for regret (death, maybe), but these are great tips to avoid them.
Awesome, I really loved this talk. If you don't ask, the answer is always No! If you ask, then at least you have a 50% chance of success. I'm going to be asking more, what do i have to lose? not much. I've got more to gain and I also avoid the regret.

You have gained nothing but a prison sentence
I just got a hair cutting machine to make myself bald, well bold. And I am going to wax away all the hair. Nothing is bolder than that.
I took the first job that was offered to me, and 26 years later, getting by. The secret to not asking for the things that "really matter", is to make them, not matter, to not want them.
Regret about things done can last years-a lifetime. I have one deep regret that gave me PTSD. I wish it would have taken only weeks or months to go away. No one will ever understand the weight of the pain I have to carry every day.

Thank you, Kimberly, for a great speech. To avoid regret you have to be bold. The antidote to regret: 1. ask for what you want; 2. think different; and 3. trust your guts.
Very Motivational. Speech. Thank you so much....!

Thank you Mohsin! I'm so glad you found it valuable : )
Awesome talk Kim! Thank you for living your life in a way that YOU (and only YOU) are responsible for the results. Taking action and not blaming others for "how easy they have it" or focusing on things we cannot change is easy to do. Being bold, brave and going after what you want is a harder (and much more worthy) route! Thank you for stepping on stage to share your story and make a positive dent in the world!

I looooove it. Thanks, thanks and thanks. Awesome
This video wasn't what I was looking for, but I still found it useful. A good reminder to take more initiative / risks.
Kim, you are a wonderful, inspiring person. I think it's common to compromise passions because of fear--fear of failure, fear of being different, fear of how friends/family/society will perceive our actions--and this video is an important reminder that life is too valuable to let those fears control our decisions. Be bold!

@@kimberlyrich2895 It's so beautiful that you're actually responding to people who start their comments with "Kim". Is it that you know them, and they're special? Or are you responding to everyone who makes a comment for *you*?
Tired of being afraid.. I made some bold choices .... and ruined my life in the process... I preferred living in fear... at least then I could deal with the regret
regret that will extend a life time... great
Thank you 🙏
Awesome!

Yes!! It's not an imposition to inspire other people to ask for what they want : ) If people want to say no, they can! Thanks for watching : )
This seems like the antidote for how to not make regrets, but what if I already have a huge one. What’s the antidote for getting through a massive regret?

Unless you can’t fix it, the only solution is dropping it. Don’t give energy to it by thinking about it but just drop it.
Really inspirational

Good .
I like the message, it is being used to direct you to her page which is a sales funnel to get you to buy one on one coaching to gain access to her "secrets". It looks like she quit selling products to gov agencies in order to start her own marketing and sales company. She is a Tim ferris disciple. She created a business that let's her work 4 hours a week and moved overseas to get a lower cost of living. Go read Tim ferris

That's a blessing in disguise why would you want to work somewhere where they dont want you, it's their loss, keep your head held high and you'll eventually find a job that VALUES you for your skills and being you
What is she doing today? 2020
Aren't the things we have done often the same as the things we have not? Seems they are one and the same.
I follow you on Twitter and please tweet.
Sorry but a lot of this is all WRONG. The more you play, the more you lose. But you WIN more than someone who rarely or never plays. Obviously, that's just the logics of odds. Of course a "Safe Vanilla" Life is nonexpansive & rather dull. But do we need Kimberly here to tell us that??? No. The thing is, NOT ALL BOLD Risk Takers are Happy. Not ALL people who do what they want or Pursue their Dreams are Happy. With more Risk comes more Rewards, SOMETIMES, BUT Also more RISK and Dangerous Situations. As humans if we are never satisfied we will end up searching for more more more. As someone who has taken most risks in my life, there's a lot i am happy i did, but A LOT i wish i COULD do differently And in the end you realize there is SO MUCH you want to take back, redo or undo.

Well yes, that's called determination? If you "play more", sure you'll be "lose more". But, the point is to hit our aim. How can you willing to success but not to fail? We're human ( '-') But even, losing is ok because we've done it (that's the whole point in this session). Those loses also teaches us anyway.
