True but the main codex is stuck in raven... trigon would make a entry remember what joker said.... in the end batman will have to die. Even if superman turns heel it's no point for justice league cuz clark will move to another dimension but after flash point all time and storylines changed the universe

One of my favorite moments in the JL Animated Series is when Superman pummels and beats Darkseid with his own Omega beam, tosses his body to the people of Apokolips and tells them you're free everyone and that Darkseid wouldn't hurt them any longer. But instead, without a word from Darkseid, everyone looked at Darkseid and walked over to pick him up and carry him away. Superman, looking utterly stunned and confused caught Darkseid's attention, so he stops everyone to tell Superman "I said Kal that I am many things. But here...'I'. Am God." And i'm just like this man...even in defeat...will haunt you. He can't even be beat and leave you feeling like "yeah! big baddy down!" It was just like wow...this guy just...what do you even do about him?!

The best use of Anti-Life Equation was in Final Crisis, which held up all the concepts from Jack Kirby's Forth World series. Please read both of them to understand these things in more detailed way.

yeah its the dumbest idea in comics. Essentially the equation would only really have power over people if they really believe that life is meant to have meaning so it cant work on all life anyways. Darkseid is the greatest ConMan in comics he conned an entire univer and technically multi verse into thinking mind control works cause you explain an equation for why life has no meaning even though if life is meaningless it doesn't effect peoples day to day lives really at all so its useless. Like They will never be able to explain it in a way that makes sense cause it doesn't and cant make sense.

The revelation of the nature of the anti life equation and the new gods' ability to utilize and merge their souls to gain immense power. The same concept behind Infinity man and the forever people. This concept granted darkseid the ability to match the source itself in terms of power. The repercussions of that event was then concluded on countdown to final crisis.

The fact that ZSJL did the whole "the villian wins and the world basically gets destroyed. We need to go back in time" technically before IW and EG makes me side-eye Joss a little bit more.

Marvel Studio has been planning their movies years ahead. They already have plot points and map for them. It's just coincidental that DC did it too. So after Crisis on Infinite Earths in the Arrowverse we got a mention of Anti-Life in Supergirl by Braniac 5(well another universe's Brainiac 5). If we follow Multiverse rules, that makes it 4 attempts to conquer Earth in live action (Smallville season 10, Uxas invasion, Knightmare and Arrowverse, hell one could argue they're all the same Darkseid). Fun note, we've gotten another use of Anti-life in this week's episode of Supergirl

I feel you, this whole Anti-Life Equation makes no sense... it's an equation, that when uttered makes you mindless, unless you are the one controlling other people... how do you become the one controller other people? Here read this:... Gotcha! You just lost the game! Then there's people who get power from parts of the 'anti-life equation'... so does it imbue power or does it make you mindless? How does it imbue power? How can some characters try to use it to resurrect, or other things? Some descriptions it's an equation that is more philosophical and make you lose your mind, but some descriptions make it like it's a power granting thing you can possess part of like one of the infinity stones... it just makes no sense. And in Snyder's cut, it's just drawn on the ground? wth? This is why I never read DC.

Im pretty sure it draws down to ID and Superego. Self = Dark side. Some people can't live with the fact they share something in common with Darkseid. Life equation is peoples superego overcoming their personal desires for greater good. Depending on the equation it can shift your mindset to one of these states

Okay, serious question: In the movie, Darkseid slams his axe on the ground and the equation just appears. How? Was it always there? Why did it appear when he slammed the ground?

That war took place over 5000 years ago, and in that war, Darkseid (who actually is still Uxas at that time) was so badly damaged that he lost conciousness and had to retreat, so it make sense he forgot a lot of things about the war. Not to mention that after Uxas bathe in the Omega sanctions, he's essentially reborn as Darkseid, so it could also be he lost a lot his memory as Uxas after his rebirth

I wish i had too much time on my hands. But I’m still a comic buff. So i know exactly what it is. Still, i love hearing about it.

Equation always have LHS and RHS. Life is never taken away it is only brought over to the other side.

The one thing that I like about Darkseid is that he is pure evil unlike villains of recent movies who want to save the world in Thier own demonic way or thought process Darkseid is just pure Villain he wants to enslave or destroy

Pure evil motivation is tricky to pull off in live action movie. It would be much better if Darkseid character in DCEU has a solid motivation about why he wants to conquer planets and finding the equation. Otherwise he would end up like Steppenwolf in Josstice League.

That's the Omega symbol. Omega means "the end", and Darkseid is the bringer of ends. So it makes sense that Omega is Darkseid's symbol
