I disagree totally. Thanos has a far different objective for being evil than Darkseid. Thanos actually does have a point to a certain degree to being evil - He wiped out 50 percent of living creatures as resources are finite and he saw overpopulation as a serious problem. Darkseid is different - Darkseid just kills and destroys because he wants to dominate life just like any other villain. But Thanos wanted to bring balance to the universe not so as to conquer it.

What we see in the Snyder Cut is just a glimpse of him but in Marvel, Thanos is already established because the reason is balancing the universe which is quite logical compare to Thanos in the comic who just wanted to impress Lady Death.

Darkseid is the type of villain I wouldn’t mess with. Dude is terrifying.

Didn't darkseid need the omega effect to become like, ultra super duper powerfull? (well ik he is powerfull even before he got em), oh and armies. (thanos needs an army and technologies too to destroy worlds)

I don't know about you guys but there weren't enough commercials.

I'm more of a marvel guy movie wise and dc animated wise but they have a chance to put dceu above if not an equivalent to marvel if they utilize darkseid and make him out to be the monstrous ruthless villain and tyrant he is. Done correctly his character alone can put dceu in a very good place. Fingers crossed! If they do something close to the animated justice league war they will set and raise the bar.

Just wish dceu would catch up to their animation. Their roster has such a variety of crossoverpossibilities its sickening

Unpopular opinion: DarkSeid is the Black Knight from Search for the Holy Grail. "They said in the movie that the world (Earth) was lost after Darkseid lost the war. I guess when they *fled into space* they didn't track the planet or what universe it was in." Only a flesh wound! Brave sir Darkseid, bravely ran away. 😎

personally i found his characterisation in snyder cut terrible, i didnt even know his motivation by the end of the movie or reasoning. general zod in man of steel was amazing and memorable, but this was just terrible and forgettable, the cgi, writing, acting were pretty bad. no memorable lines. i can still recite general zod and sympathised with his cause which is what makes any villian a great villian. but darkseid just wasnt given all of that

He was always kind of B or even C list character. Joker is a better bad guy for Batman, and Lex was always Superman's greatest antagonist. Wonder Woman has the cheetah lady. Darkseid's main opposition is what? "We can't call him Odin." Or "F U DAD!" Like I know who he was because I watched the cartoons back in the day, but let's not forget Iron Man was a C lister until like 2008. More appropriately Thanos was probably D list or below until fairly recently.

Kirby used basically every tyrant that exists as inspiration for Darkseid, but mainly it was Nixon, not Adolf.

Where are from the comic book illustrations shown in this video, and are they worth reading, or not so much?

I wasn't aware of darkseid till fairly recently my love of the comic book world really started through the movies and TV programmes I watched as a youth like spiderman in the animated runs around the late 70s to early 80s I think and the Christopher Reeves superman and I'd forgotten about Tim Burton's barman too wow jack Nicholsons 🃏 joker was not bad knight go watch it now I'm bored an not doing anything better

I came from watching it for the 3rd time,i feel pitty for stepn wolf,he did all what he can to return home.But he was down motivated after realising he had to conqure 50k planets more to even be concidered.If earth was his final planet to conqure cnt imagn the battle

his story is rich and full or lore, would be a great stand alone movie

He's someone who wrote his name wrong on the Registry

Zack Snyder said that Darkseid in the Flashback scene was Uxas before he got his Omega Powers. Uxas is Darkseid's actual name.

I've never seen the movie but I looked up the pics and I said the same thing he looks just like thanks!

@@MegaSheen15 Not really. The look was based off of Darkside, but Thanos was based more around the greek god. If anything Darkside is closer to Malacath. That doesn't really do it justice, but when you're main opposition is a guy named "Highfather" it's difficult not to compare the guy to antagonists of "The All Father."

Now they give a realistic darkside i can know see trigon VS darkside more vividly

I got few doubts from ZSJL movie: 1)Darkseid himself came to earth and failed to collect motherboxes, almost died and retreated, so why he assumed Stephenwolf would be successful in retrieving boxes?🙄😂 Am I missing something? 2) already dessad told Stephenwolf betrayed for throne or something, so what if he somehow successful and takes anti-life equation himself without giving to darkseid? 🤷‍♂️ 3) Flash at last moment, travelled back in time and gave the required charge to cyborg to operate on motherboxes and saved the world, but doing this, won't this create alternate timeline where there is no flash and that world is destroyed by mother boxes?? And when flash travels back in time, he should've met another flash right? 🙄

Thanos is nothing to darkseid he’s faster stronger and has better powers including his omega beams from his eyes, thanos is just a plain purple strong dude nothing without his infinity stone

Darkseid seems like an awesome villain but I only know him from the **justice league** cartoon (and he's barely in that), can someone point me to where I can see his true powers? or is that from the comics ?

"Embodiment of entropy" is kind of a contradiction in terms, isn't it?
