It boggles my mind how most animated TV shows fuck this up in the exact same way and have been doing so for over half a century.

I noticed that there might be a mistake in what Richard says. Regarding to frame rate, he says that some ppl did comparison between 1s and 2s and found out that sometimes drawing in 2s beirng more vitality to the animation. But he thinks that those ppl got that conclusion bcs when they did their animation in 1s, there are actually doing it with the thinking mode of doing a 2s first, and then putting in the inbetweens, and that's why 2s appear to be better. He tried the same thing, but working with 1s first, finding out the 1s are always the best. Problem is, he made the conclusion that 1s is the best when making the animaitons with the thinking mode of making 1s, just the same as those who fonund 2s to be better made the animation with the thinking mode of making 2s. So a more scientific appraoch would be, making the same piece of animation twice, once working when thinking in 1s, the other time working when thinking in 2s, and then compare the results.
