    England has such a rich history. Would be interesting for you to do a part 3 on England's modern history. So much to cover from the Tudors, Stuarts, English Cvil War, Restoration, Georgian, Regency, Victorian, etc. Not even mentioning the massive empire and navy.

    @@onbedoeldekut1515 If the prof was British, then Joffrey might have been correct. For example: Ralph pronounced as Rafe, Bovey Tracey as Buvvy Tracey, Worcestershire as Wuss-tershire, etc. Plantagenet, however, is not Plantan-agent in any nation -- not even Australia, where I was schooled.

    A note on the Coats of Arms: the English arms were changed in 1380 in line with the French arms going from Azure Semee d'lis Or (blue with fleur d'lis strewn on the field) to Azure three Fleur d'lis 2 and 1(blue with 3 Fleur d'lis 2 on top one below)

    I love how your maps show the historical great work called 'De afsluitdijk' closing of the Ijsselmeer in The Netherlands. But it was build slightly after the Viking age in 1933.

    @@yesssyeppp3852 technically in the modern world all 3 are (against what most people want) ruled over by English supremacy in the UK. But Wales is still as seperate from England as Scotland or N.Ireland, just it doesn't care as much for independence.

    @@Agent_Ste They were thoroughly mixed with the local population by that time. Many of the Scandinavian settlers were men, who married local women. I wouldn't say they were more Scandinavian.

    @@Agent_Ste In 911 surely, but in 1066, it was already more difficult to differentiate the Normans from the Franks, since they were already more or less assimilated with them. Whether in terms of language, mixed marriages (therefore a mixture of DNA), Trade, dress style and facial look, the Art of War (EX: Chivalry, where the Vikings fought on foot ), and most importantly Religion, etc ...

    Love the content. One obvious error. William nor any of the Normans trasferred the capital from Winchester to London. Winchester remained the capital in Winchester castle which held the treasury and the Doomsday book for nearly 100 years. *also Winchester is closer than London to Normandy

    I think that most rational explanation for Robin Hood was "Rogue Hood" what basically was John Doe of medieval times. In sheriff registries all unknown criminals were written that way, what though ignoramus reach status of the legend about super-criminal Robin Hood who rob everywhere and never was cough. And because everyone hated government, it become national hero.

    King Richard didn’t actually enter into the Robin Hood story until much, much later because the earliest Attested author wanted him to be in the story. Earlier versions of Robin Hood mention Kind Edward far more often than Richard I ever was. And it’s pronounced Plan-taj-en-it Other than that, great video!

    You gave an unfair and pretty simple view of King John, he didn't sign the Magna Carta by choice, he did it by force. His expensive wars with France were expensive because Richard had emptied the treasury to pay for his Crusade
