Not only that, but it’s 10+ years later and his family/friends obviously still miss him dearly and there STILL are no arrests/convictions and no closure. Someone one knows something. If the FBI were still investigating this case, they should bring charges against Desmond Carter, and have him take a pauleygram. He is the only one who had communication with Kevin, and was scheduled to meet him. If he didn’t show up or never call to cancel or reschedule, he’s your guy. This isn’t hard to resolve. Bring him in again, I know this is bothering him, and he should name accomplice too. It’s right at this point. Kevin II Parents have waited for years for their closure. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Jealousy. They wanted him to be miserable because he's from the hood of LA but he didn't become a product of his environment. The fact that Brittany Spears and Rihanna was interested in his work shows how amazing his craft is. Had he still been here with us, he would've been one of the best producers out of Los Angeles. He was Timbaland, Swizz Beats, Kanye West, Dr Dre and Pharrell Williams all in one. He was minding his business and he still got murdered. But people love to keep on saying " As long as you're minding your business, you'll be alright in the hood" which as we see here is a straight up lie.

The last several full episodes suggest a troubling theme of investigative ineptitude and thus the need of the grieving family (typically: parents) to assume the role of detective. I cannot fathom what these parents go through, but their tenacity and enduring love are inspirations to us all.

As someone who has worked for a commercial recording studio company, I don't care where a recording studio is located, they are all sketchy AF! We have managed properties in the best and worst parts of the city. And the people who "hang around" these studios with the producers and performers, no matter the genre of music, all seem to be carrying guns. There were several times that we had to deny entry into a studio because of all of the people "hanging around". Ask any recording studio sound engineer, and they will tell you about the fights, shootings, and stabbings.

This was absolutely heart-wrenching to watch. I just want to reach thru and hug Kevin's mom & dad.....their pain is written all over their faces. I can't imagine living in a world that had taken my son away. I'm so sorry that this happened. Kevin definitely deserves justice. And I truly believe it's coming. I feel like when LE says gang related they don't necessarily mean Kevin was involved in a gang. They could mean he was caught in the "crossfire". Just like so many other innocent people have been. That's why it's so horrible. Kevin's life was beautiful because he grew up surrounded by love, he grew up doing what he loved to do and was good at! But what's horrible is that evil pervades all around us- we can live our lives doing all the right things and still aren't safe. I cried when Kevin's mom said she had kept everything from the last morning she shared with her son. Even down to the napkin the juice container...that got me. I pray that whoever it is that knows something please comes forward! Idk how they can just go on like nothing happened when a good person is gone & their family is devastated. Idk how someone can watch Kevin's story and not be touched. Thank you 48 hrs this was well presented and very respectful to Kevin & his family. Much love to Kevin's parents. ❤

I agree. Her saving his last dish, his last meal plate, going to crime scene and collecting the glass. She can't let go. Very tragic.

He was setup for sure. There are too many “coincidences”, the biggest one being the “rapper” whom he was supposed to meet NEVER showed up. He didn’t pull up to even act surprised as if something transpired, never drove past and via the studio owners own mouth ..no one ever really comes on Sunday nights and to be ambushed RIGHT as he arrived. Somebody was envious or felt disrespected. This young man had gods light all in him, you could feel it through the screen. Major condolences to his parents and to whomever participated in this young man’s untimely demise , in the words of Kevin jr’s mother “you can’t hide from god”. His wrath is gonna make you wish you hadn’t even been born. May god have mercy on the perpetrators soul cause they’re gonna need it. Fly high Kevin 🕊️

Someone couldn't handle him being a good person, happy, and on his way to success. Along with not being able to handle their own downfalls and failures.

These are the reasons that throughout the years raising my 2 boys, I pounded into their brains that you always have to be suspicious of people's intentions. Your best friend is capable of utter betrayal and it's usually for some pathetic reason. It's a nicer way of saying don't trust ANYone except your family and even then, always judge the character of the people in your circle.... and just be suspicious. The truth is, that won't even save you sometimes. My heart goes out to this family, I can't imagine the pain of losing my child, I'm not sure if I could be as graceful and patient as these people.

The initial investigation was botched. They must’ve treated the case as with less regard with the assumption that it’s gang related. In doing that they missed a lot of opportunity in catching the killer/killers. Same with when a female prostitute is murdered, the police don’t take the case seriously.

No snitching only incubates crime. Report anonymously there are so many ways. I don't get it! How do people choose to suffer and stand with wrong knowing fully well they suffer even more. Nobody had a bad word to say about him yet they watch the family suffer and do nothing. That is the height of wickedness!
