The ironic thing about Andrews Spider-Man is that in the comics Peter actually is quite cool and likable he’s nerdy and a bit socially awkward but he has a night wing type of sense or humor

In the 60's he had the same vibe as Tobey's Peter in my eyes. But I like that each of the movies have their own identity and spin on the character even though there's nothing really new that hasn't been done in a comic book before.

Holy shit James Horner composed the music for this movie? I had no freaking idea, I'm shocked actually. RIP James Horner a true legend. I always get sad thinking about his passing

Honestly this Flash Thompson was the best version out of all the Spider-Man films. Still a bully but at least he can be taken more seriously than the MCU Spider-Man Flash.

I was open to MCU Flash, since the stereotypical Jock isn’t that realistic anymore, so I liked the thought of him just being a smartass, but he was written poorly and I think they handled Flash in TASM a lot better.

• The webshooters are what Spider-Man has had in the comics and every other form of media. The Tobey movies actually differences from the source. But him creating the webshooters goes back 60 years when Marvel first published him in a comic. • Peter Parker isn’t really supposed to be timid and reserved like Tobey’s version was. In early comics, he actually had a temper which more closely matches up with this version.

The reason all the criminals have the same hair cut/style in the beginning is because Peter is specifically looking for and going after criminals with that hair cut because the guy that killed Ben was rocking a similar do.

Dang this was so obvious in the movie these reaction youtubers really don't give a shit about the movie right.

I love that scene with Flash where he comforts Peter about Uncle Ben's death. Giving the bully character a moment of depth where he breaks from his bullying mask and empathises with someone going through a hard time. The implication that this led to a friendship with Peter and possibly him being a better person in general makes it better. I think it's canon that Flash has a rough home life, though I don't remember why. That's likely why he tells Peter "I get it" in this film. I like that each progressive version of him throughout the movies reflects more directly on this more and more. There's hints in Far From Home that MCU Flash is practically ignored by his parents and it's pretty sad.

14:09 funny thing is before the movie the web shooters were the only way Spiderman was able to shoot webs. It wasn’t until the original trilogy was being made and James Cameron suggested to Sam Rami to make them shoot from his wrists. Then there was the comic explanation afterwards as to how he switched from web shooters to bio webs but…it’s best to leave that behind.

Can we acknowlege the fact that from the scene Peter comes home after being bitten to looking up spider bites on the computer, he looks and acts like he's on crack and its hilarious

Honestly this might be my favourite Spider-Man movie right below no way home. Tobey’s movies are fun and goofy, but this to me feels like Spider-Man

FYI: Gwen is not dating Flash…it’s OBVIOUS she is tutoring him in a class that he’s failing. Which is why she was talking about how disappointed she was about his grade in that certain class.

I like how Andrew is the most accurate representation to me. Other than the skateboarding. He has fun with it, shows emotion, has the jokes and the Nerd chops, and he loves Spiderman. Also if you've read comics he seems the most relatable personality wise to Spuder-man. To me Tobey should've just been an older Spider-Man who was gruff and has been through it. Tom Holland is being way too over used at this point to the point that Playstation spiderman looks like him. Andrew Garfield did with the Role the best he could

These Movies are highly underrated and Andrew as Spider-Man and Emma as Gwen are the Best. Hope he comes back as Spider-Man and maybe Emma as Spider-Gwen in the future.

Great video! I’m glad you enjoyed it. There’s always been a touch of sadness in the soul of the character. He’s not perfect and he doesn’t always save everyone. Andrew Garfield best portrays this. To me, he’s probably my favorite spider man.

He wanted to show rebellious and nowadays typical teen and i think he pretty much accomplished it. But it didn't turn out to be what people wanted to see. But i love his version of peter as much as tobeys. Tobeys peter is the most interesting to watch while andrew peter is the most relatable one

You noticed that Peter seems to have his mask off much of the time, it's so he doesn't get his carefully sculpted hair messed up...

My high school also had us pay for our locker. Never bothered doing it my final year. Edit: to Uno reverse card your criticism of this Peter being too cool and handsome, Stan Lee said in an interview about Andrew's portrayal: "I never pictured Peter Parker as not being good-looking. He was just a little nerdy. That's all. You can be a nerdy good-looking guy. I always thought of myself as an incredibly nerdy kind of guy." In terms of his "coolness" I see him more of a loner, like the kid you see at school who eats lunch alone under the tree. People know who they are, but they keep to themselves. Comics Peter is definitely a mix, having Tobey's nerdiness (just not as introverted), and Andrew's snarkiness. Comics Peter was not afraid to tell off Flash and other bullies, even though he'd get punched anyways. Great reaction as always!

I’d say the reason they made Peter so cool was to update to a new world view of nerds. Compared to the 50s when the comics first came out, we realized nerds are the ones creating technology that makes life easier. MCU Peter is kind of a median. He makes his own computers and web fluid and academic decathlons, but still has the social awkwardness like Tobey and has a friend group of only two people

The best acting of Peter Parker for sure, and the most Comic book accurate Spiderman. And the original Spiderman from the comics need to use web shooters, he only start using web from his body way latter in the comics when the spider dna start to take over.

well this Peter Parker is like the Peter Parker from the Ultimate Spiderman comic series, where he is a bit cooler and confident. Not every Parker has to be the "fully awkward" one, this version is cooler for me due to his confidence and also due to his immaturity by which he gets more and more mature the more time passes as Spiderman.

In No Way Home they made the anti-lizard cure green instead of blue while in this film the toxin is green.

I loved Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben so much in this. Should really watch these movies again. You're not alone in your opinion about Ben's death. It's definitely more debated than other versions of Ben's death. 20:22 nailed it. Also, I think part of the fact is that the movies are trying to copy the comic's habit of adjusting the eyes to show the emotion Spider-Man is feeling in that panel. Works well enough in comics, but in live-action....well.... Yeah, it was Bug Boy...

Having organic web shooters is definitely more convenient, but that’s not how Spider-Man was written in the comics. Stan Lee gave him mechanical web shooters because it presented a great way to put Spider-Man in trouble and have him have to solve problems in different ways. It also shows off how smart he is to build them and make them be able to do different things

No, because this version of Spider-Man is not based on the same comic books. Maguire's Spider-Man was based on the original 1960s Stan Lee/Steve Ditko run, while Garfield's is based on the 2000s Ultimate Spider-Man reboot comics. Although they incorporated some story events from the older comics into Garfield's movie (like the mechanical web shooters and the Gwen Stacy plot), the way Peter acts in this is much closer to the newer comics than the old ones.
