This 14-minute segment covers the beginning of the game, providing a glimpse into how The Alters plays.
Inspired by the critically acclaimed This War of Mine, and created by several team members from that game, The Alters blends survival and base-building genres with a deep, meaningful narrative.
Throughout the story, the question of "what if" reverberates with each new Jan, while players seek answers about the failed mission and the mysterious Jan-multiplying ore known as Rapidium.

The Demo is way longer than 15 minutes, this video doesn’t even include any of the very beginning and there’s way more from after it ends

Played the demo tonight. Definitely going to purchase day one! This game looks incredible.
ooo! Looks great! I'm glad they kept the passing of time mechanic that we saw in "This War of Mine" and "Frostpunk"! Also, I look forward to the jokes about how YOU MUST CONSTRUCT ADDITIONAL PYLONS!
I think I'm more hyped by this one than Frostpunk 2. I LOVE you 11 Bit.
I would also love a mode in this game where youre on a timer for the campaign, and have to complete your tasks before you burn
I played little bit of demo - will have more time over the weekend to finish it hopefully. that said, initial impressions very positive - looking forward to playing som' more!!

This game feels like it might be too good to be true. However, it is 11 bit Studios. I will give it a try. The creativity and art direction of this studio are on another level.

So its a puzzler and management game? I was counting on some Kojima-level storytelling.
an overall timelimit to the game, paired with open world exploration automatically adds stress and since you cant know how much time you have, you tend to rush through everything in order to make it. i dont like that combination that much

I was excited watching the trailer but this looks too complicated. I love the plot of creating alter versions of yourself, I thought it was gonna be story drive game but this looks like a puzzle

Well, base on the video this is gonna to be another of those protagonist-have-to comment-on-everything-leaving-player-zero-space-for-interpretation sort of game Frankly speaking this type of story telling is rather disappointing from the studio that brought us this war of mine
