DISCLAIMER: I enjoy a great relationship with my fellow creators, however I have witnessed myself how Sam Chui abused and insulted Cabin Crew on my flights in order to get footage he wants. His condescending attitude is no secret in the industry that many creators turn down flight invitations if they know that he is coming because they can't tolerate his behaviour any longer and this is unacceptable. I'm not afraid to speak up against it. Many airlines have told me that they have distanced themselves from Sam due to these issues. Good for you Josh for speaking up wish more would. He calls ahead to let airlines know he’s gonna be onboard. More airlines should refuse his calls. You guys are more like ghost riders in the industry and this is what airline management wants to get the real deal as to what goes down on the line. Fly safe ✈️

I'm a purser with Lufthansa and Sam Chui came on one of our flights. In all my years flying I have never seen anyone as disrespecful as him. It is all staged and he will ask you to do things the crew is obviously very uncomfortable with. If he filmed something and it isn't to his liking he will ask the crew to do it over and over again. Most shocking though is his behaviour among female crew and he comes across as a total predator, I can only imagine how bad they must have felt around him. I feel most people are afraid to speak up but I hope one day someone will expose him, thanks Josh for standing up.

I've always thought the same way about Sam Chui's videos. So artificial, fake, not the content that I enjoy watching. The only thing his content helped me was to discover other content creators about flight reviews that tell the truth about what the experience flying on the especific airline. Sam Chui doesn't deserve his fame. Feels good to have great content creators that show the real thing, like you, Noel Philips, Simply Aviation.

I actually used to watch Sam Chui a lot back in 2012-2017ish, when all he did was flight blogs. Revisited his channel a few months ago, yeah he comes as extremely pretentious

Has Josh reviewed Yazd Air? An Iranian airline that supposedly launched this year and would do domestic and some international flights... Also guessing Josh is waiting for the (re)launch of Ghana Airlines too. What would be really cool is Air Moana, which are supposedly using turboprops to fly across French Polynesia and that area is huge!

Thanks for the video Josh. Have to agree about Vistara. I flew them from Delhi to Hyderabad last week and they were fantastic. Having flown the superlative Qatar Airways into Delhi before connecting on Vistara, I really couldn't find any aspect where one was better or worse than the other. I'll be flying the Tata Air India soon, so am looking forward to it. Regarding the ex Air India 747s, they are over 25 years old and most likely require extensive maintenance with a lot of FAA ADs to be implemented. So it is highly unlikely they will fly again, other than a one way tripto the scrapper. As for Jet Airways, the future sure looks bleak. They may never make it.

Interesting review. Someone has already commended you for the Business plus economy mix. That is really nice and flying on a connecting flight gives the review continuity.

Good and outstanding aviation vloggers like Josh Cahill should be cherished and be valued. Airlines and airports could learn something from these reviews to e.g. their products. For others these vlogs are also e.g. educational.

Just travelled Mumbai Muscat and back with Vistara economy class few days ago. It was my first time flying with Vistara and the experience was quite pleasant. Crew and meal both were amazing. Besides, this was the cheapest option when I was searching for flight tickets 😝. Surprising that 2 way ticket on Vistara was cheaper than Indigo. Since I've even taken the Club Vistara membership and accumulated miles from this trip, will definitely try them again if I get a chance. If I were to nitpick, AC wasn't running at full power on the BOM MCT leg. Started at full power only when we started our descent into Muscat. On the return leg, I was served only 1 glass of ginger ale while they gave me the whole can while on the BOM MCT leg🤔.

My check in experience with air Asia india has always been great , i often travel on air asia and my experience so far has been very good , i usually take the IAD 319 from vecc to vebs and IAD 320 back , its a 50 min hop and the crew does it all very efficiently … do try out this route as air asia is aslo a part of tata group now

you are right josh vistara is now right on the top must be the tata magic working full time on vistara travelled recently on a domestic route from mumbai it was wonderful

Oh no Josh! Your limelight for this video was stolen by your seatmate on the first leg - what a character! I would have been tempted to hold a mirror to his mouth to check he was still alive! I would love to be able to sleep on planes like him. I lived in Mumbai (then Bombay) back in the 90's - the airport was a couple of enormous airplane hangers in those days, was always a nightmare getting in and out. Great review...

In Delhi airport I have not had a super friendly experience, but a correct and professional experience on local and international flights.

I also had some bad experiences with rude check-in staff. I remember it was 2011 and I was a student who had reached Delhi from Kabul and then I was planning to go to Pune with King Fisher Airline (It does not exist now I believe). Unlike their beautiful uniform, the check-in staff was ultra-rude to passengers!

Depends If Tata Will be able to Fire old staff and Recruit better staff. There was serious corruptions being made during Previous INC Govt (Praful Patel the Aviation minister back then) they used to take bribe and recruit people. That lead to unprofessional Crew being recruited . Additionally he used to use A320s etc for personal Private flights. Unnecessary expenses to please US Authorities.

Honestly speaking I genarally don't watch Sam a lot, so I dont get a lot of recomendation from him, but to my surprise a couple of days back his vistara flight was being pushed on to my homepage and out of curiosity I fell for it and half way through I could sense the video was kind of staged and I had a dejavu, Josh said this in one of his video may be a year back. Haha and bingo. Josh I would love you to review a long haul business class of Air India probably the London flight. 😊,

Regarding the 747S, There are rumours that 1 or 2 would be retained for undetermined reasons. So we can assume something like what British Airways tried to do .i.e paint them in a retro livery and fly them occasionally as ambassadors

Im amazed these guys still check bags. You can take on a rolling duffle or backpack that will get you thru a 3 week trip easily. Backpacks 65L are getting on board. So much easier

Haha the same ground crew helped me with my check in 3 days ago when I was going from Mumbai to Hyderabad at that she was all smiles and helpful I think they also have have their good and bad days.

Vistara is a decent value for money service provider and that is going to get better only with the merger of Vistara with Air India & Air Asia 👍

btw the 747s owned by air india were supposed to be sold to an irish company, but those plans failed and now theyre headed to be scrapped

Vistara does not have Premium Economy (and Business) seats on all of their aircraft. Some of the A320Neos especially with the registration VT-TY* series have an all economy 180 seats.
