This was a wonderful Ami! I was quite shocked to hear Muhammad Iqbal mentioned but I think that speaks to how well read Daniel is!

Neitzche does not convince(con- vincere: conquer with) he converts(con- vertere:turn altogether, turn about )...he seduces you(se- ducere: to lead away, apart) ...good observations about the power of the thinkers prose... "Nietzsche is not a philosopher and a WRITER on the side but both at once"...going to the poems first...never read the man...consider a show about The Merchant Of Venice ( who is ANTONIO the merchant not Shylock ,who who is prohibited from such a vocation, just like Frankenstein most people mistake the character)...good show o my brother...currently re-reading ZULEIKA DOBSON a (incomparable) masterpiece! all the best o my brother...hope you loved ones in Israel are all ok...Peace

I first encountered nietzsche in highschool at 17 years old, depressed, somewhat tough childhood with overtly religious parents/pastors, one of the best wrestlers in the state, good grades, nonetheless suicidal. As I read Zarathustra it changed my perception of myself, and truly saved me from suicide. As I continue to read, I find myself creating new values for myself, better values, better ways of thought, better ways to create and maintain relationships. Now almost 23 Nietzsche saved me, and I hope the others that read him find what I found, hope, love, strength, amor fati, sacrifice, patience, any many other virtues. But, one must be strong. One must smile at hardship. Great video guys, keep up the good work.

I'm very sympathetic to Daniel's reading of Nietzsche. Especially his warning about the reification of Resentiment, albeit unwittingly, by Liberals when speaking of certain socio-economic subjects and groups.
