TOO FAST? Control the video's playback speed by speeding up or slowing down the video 5% at a time on desktop computers and laptops OR 25% at a time on smartphone! Access the playback speed controls as follows: Desktop Computers and Laptops: open the video, then go to the lower right of the video's screen and click on the settings icon (it looks like a GEAR). On the upper right of the options window that comes up, you will see the link "custom". Click on the "custom" link to control the video's playback speed by speeding up or slowing down the video 5% at a time. Smartphones: open the video and go to the upper right of the video's screen. You will see 3 dots. Click on them and you will see the link to open the "playback speed" controls. Click on this link and you will be able to control the video's playback speed by speeding up or slowing down the video 25% at a time. Note that viewing the video on desktop computer/laptops gives you greater control over the playback speed (5% vs 25% on smartphones).

Regarding the catstrophic conditions of life of most of the populationof the planet, the global pollution, the greenhouse effect, the warming atmosphere, the rising oceans, the desappearance of hundereds of animal species due to pollution, reduced habitat, we need to reduce the global human population and the huge damages humanity causes to the planet and to itself and not long, hope or work for growth. It's more than time to wake up! Its time to decrease population and growth, because, if not, life will be unbearable.

we need to see Yifei more on MC podcasts. She always knows the topic and can analyze deeply. ❤ Both of you make a good team. I have two chinese friends and they say it's better if the population drops to 700 to 800 million. I do not agree, maintaining chinese population over 1 billion is good idea and the path to keep the country on track of economic growth.

Arguably China has struggled to feed it's population for some time with Chinese fishing fleets venturing ever further from home to secure enough food. While newer birth rate trends might be alarming in terms of economic impacts it might move China onto a more sustainable footing that requires less conflicts with neighbours over scarce food resources and contribute to a more stable future for the Chinese state over the long term.

  • @MandarinCorner2

Because in everyday casual conversation, people would not be needing to use the specialized vocabulary needed to discuss the the topics and concepts contained in this video. But if someone want to have the option of conversing about deeper topics with educated Chinese , then they might consider listening to these type of videos. Otherwise, their conversation level and the range of topics that they can discuss with Chinese, will never grow beyond that of a 12 year Chinese child.

All industrialized countries are suffering from low birth rates, but China can create incentives without sounding super racists as they are 99% Han-Chinese. USA can't say they only want white kids as blacks are already roaming the ghettos. France and Germany can't say it only applies to the natives.

@@michaelrenper796 Why does U.S have zero days paid maternity leave? because the "wrong people" would use it. Can a Euro leader say they would like to target the natives in getting higher birth rate for that group?. China can do what they want as they are all Chinese, no backlash of being called racists.
