The Air That I Breath - The Hollies
The Air That I Breath
If I could make a wish
I think Id pass
Cant think of anything I need
No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound
Nothing to eat, no books to read
Making love with you
Has left me peaceful, warm, and tired
What more could I ask
Theres nothing left to be desired
Peace came upon me and it leaves me weak
So sleep, silent angel, go to sleep
Sometimes, all I need is the air that I breathe
And to love you
All I need is the air that I breathe
Yes to love you
All I need is the air that I breathe
Peace came upon me and it leaves me weak
So sleep, silent angel, go to sleep
Sometimes, all I need is the air that I breathe
And to love you
All I need is the air that I breathe
Yes to love you
All I need is the air that I breathe
Sometimes, all I need is the air that I breathe
And to love you
All I need is the air that I breathe
Yes to love you
All I need is the air that I breathe
And to love you
All I need is the air that I breathe
Yes to love you

Hi All. My mother passed away a few weeks ago. I have Metastatic Breast Cancer. I'm only 57. This was my mother's favorite song for my dad. HAll I need is the air that I breathe. Dad died last year. Mom followed. Devastated but sometimes, all I need is the air that I breathe and to love you.

Yes, I think so. Kind of sad that this talented generation is almost gone.😢
I remember listening to this song on the radio in the car with my mother as a kid. I’m 37 now and have a 15 year old son. While riding in the car the other day, this song started to play on a station that rarely ever plays classic rock.. I started to cry. That very day marked the 16th year of my mother’s passing. Two weeks after her death, I found out I was pregnant with my son. To be in the car with my son on that very day 16 years later and to hear that song come over the airwaves like it did, gave me chills but warmed my heart at the same time. I looked at my son and said all I need is the air that I breathe and to love you.. ❤️💛💙

Omg this man sang all the Hollies songs effortlessly, how I miss those days. I'm 67 and I get so nostalgic when I listen to such great voices. I don't even know who the singers of today are, and I don't care. They, say let go of the past, I don't think so.

Man, it's bittersweet...to lose such a great loving guy, but also to bare witnessed such a beautiful declaration of love in your own family... My own house is a cold place, no such PDA whatsoever...but at least I'm lucky that I still have both my parents, they've been married for 41 years now. I myself wasn't so lucky. I'm 39, divorced, and can't have children. And I'm an only child. When/if my currently elder and sick parents were gone, I would have nobody in this world anymore.

The Hollies and Alan Clarke were the masters of harmony. The LRB of their day!

What a masterpiece. Absolutely beautiful song ❤. Just having that kind of feeling with and for someone is just incredible. Love The Hollies. Allan Clarke has such an amazing voice ❤.
My wife works nights, and as she was going to bed the other morning I said to her "so sleep, pretty angel, go to sleep." She asked where that came from (besides my heart!) so I sang the "sometimes, all I need is the air that I breathe. Just to love you, all I need is the air that I breathe." I satirize a lot of songs, so she was waiting for the punch line. I said, "I can't mess with this one; it's too beautiful."
