We went to Israel on a tour in 1998, it was an amazing place with so many amazing people. The only time we felt even threatened was we were there on Muhammad‘s birthday,. We went to Bethlehem, which was under the control of the Arabs,they are the most angry, rude people the entire trip that we saw.

It's not hard to understand why many of the kids are there, my sister-n-law is at the encampment at Virginia Tech(wife's sister).... Shes there b/c her mom told her when she comes home from her first year of college she has to get a job during the summer and she's not going to be giving her money. She's staying there b/c she's lazy and doesn't want to come home and get a summer job. She told us all her friends are there and she wants to keep just hanging out and having fun, people bring them food and everything they need. Her and some friends will leave and go party then go back to the encampment, they are allowed to shower in the nearby dorms. She has said it's just like school without the classes. That's what most of these kids are doing, they just want to keep living the no responsibilities lifestyle and hanging out with friends, when most of them go home they'll have to get jobs and contribute in some way, and they don't want to have to do that.

If these brainwashed college kids can't learn from Mosab, I don't know who they can learn from. If you really want to connect the dots, the ideology was started by them and co-opted by the radicals. Funny how all the LGBT stuff goes away after the protests. My daughter was a student at UCLA on Oct 7. The NEXT DAY she called me upset because she was shocked that the SJP group was holding a protest. She thought it was insensitive. I told her to not be surprised, they’d probably been waiting for this day. We are Christians, but I am a Jew who became a believer in Jesus in my 20’s so half of her family is Jewish. She’s been disgusted with the students around her, even fellow Christians who don’t understand what’s really happening. Fortunately she graduated early and was not present for the insanity that’s occurred in the past month. Clearly there’s other forces at work behind these student activists. Lastly I want to say that what happened at the campus was not surprising. Los Angeles has the second largest population of Jews outside of NY, people are tired of this antisemitism occurring on these campuses.

SJP not only seemed to wait for the day but also had placards professionally made and ready on the day after, calling for a ceasefire, 2 weeks before Israel went into Gaza. I left Academia 25 or so years ago because no one was listening to those us who saw the signs and spoke up about everything she's saying. No one wanted to hear it, both inside the bubble of Academia or outside, and those who knew we were right were labeling us "conspiracy theorists," and in my particular case, since I am an Israeli-American, they presented it as me being "anti-Arab" or "paranoid," bebe mind that I had, and still have, Arab-American and Iranian-American friends, who rejected Islam, and who were saying exactly what I was saying. Now, as some people are starting to wake up and realizing what's been going on, the battle is MUCH much harder and more brutal.

One of the more compelling discussions I have listened to in a long time. What is happening in our country is horrifying. As a mental health clinician at a university in Los Angeles(UCLA) I have noticed a change in student's mental health since the obama administration. I noticed that students had a decline in their emotional pain threshold and increase of reports about "feeling" offended. Thus, an increase in anxiety and depression. I treat OCD and anxiety-and it is my job to increase one's emotional pain threshold through exposure therapy. This therapy is needed beyond treating OCD. We live in scary times for sure.

Truly enjoy your podcast, thanks. I would like to tell you a true family story. My father served in the Navy during the Second World War. He, due to having few points, did not leave the South Pacific until April of 1946, eight months after the war ended. He was in a logistics unit that gathered equipment for transfer to Europe to rebuild the infer structure. There was a person in his unit, an older better educated individual, who told my father that the communists would take over the US through the education system. This person’s name was Gus Hall. I am not sure you are familiar with Gus, but in 1958 he became the president of the CPUSA. He stayed in power until he died in 2000. They play the long game.
