Game Review & Impressions
---------------------------------------------------
I'd seen pictures of The Adventures of Quick and Silva, and I'd got into my head that this was some sort of major platform title for the Amiga.
In reality, it's closer to what feels like a public domain game, albeit a very polished one. I think this may have been given away on magazines as a cover mount disk, rather than a full price commercial release.
In short, this wasn't quite what I was expecting. The game is a functional, if limited platforming game. The main draw for was the music by Chris Huelsbeck, but I also enjoyed the rather sozzled and bedraggled Sonic the Hedgehog enemy.

This was one of Sonic's first appearances on a game way before his debut in Sonic 1. The other one would be on SEGA's Rad Mobile but on the windshield of the car you're driving. Edit: Just checked: this game was released on May 10th, 1991 while Sonic The Hedgehog 1 was released on June 23rd, 1991, just to add insult to injury.

Also the "Pig" from Nebulus.
Very solid soundtrack to it as well.

Chris Hülsbek is an amazing composer on the Amiga games, such as TURRICAN I-III, GEM'X (one of my favorites) and JIM POWER. 😺👍
I remember getting this on the Cover of Amiga Fun Magazine.

And me... best 'give away' game ever. Had more fun with this than most full price releases.
Sonic and Bub from Bubble Bobble too... wonder exactly how much of this art was 'borrowed'!

Fun fact : Chris Huelsbeck is mainly known for composing the music of "The Great Gian(n)a Sisters" Interestinly, one of the enemies is based on Gian(n)a. That's the blond haired robot, somehow confused for Roll

Chris have made several soundtracks for many games. Turrican and many more. I own CD's i bought in a exebition in Köln.
Graphics guy seems to be Frank Matzke who did the GFX for Gem'X and would later do the GFX for Apidya and later Turrican games.
Amazing soundtrack. Very hard game! Respect for the great longplay. Seriously: how in the name of Sonic...ok...how the heck do you know where you can stand in the Stage 2...4...in those dark themed stages? Those are insanely good skills of yours.
Sonik the cameo
This 'Free' Game was amazing. Great graphics, silky smooth scrolling and for once, a likeable platform character. But the icing on the cake is the amazing score by Chris Hülsbeck! Multiple tunes all using the amazing TFMX sound engine. With a few more finishing touches this could of been one of the Amigas best platform games. Considering the multitude of crap released on the Amiga this was close to a lot of the full price releases.
I dont even need to look at credits to know Chris Huelsbeck made music because it is very similar to Turican . Game looks similar too, but worse.

It does seem to burrow heavily from both Turrican I & II, but both Turrican games were much better; especially the second one.

Yeah these enemies are like from other games like Sonic, Mario, Gianna sister, TMNT and others.
Great gameplay, regards.
Copyright Violation: The Game
I think every wall in this game can be clipped through with a little persistence.
Not going to mention how much of this come from other games. The orange jump thing is from Nebulus but only orange instead of blue. 9:02 Mario on a spring and the doll is Roll from Megaman?

No, I think the doll is one of the Great Giana Sisters. I don't think Roll was that well known at the time that this game came out.

This was a magazine coverdisk game and was also available as a Public Domain game. It was made by some of the guys behind Metal Law, Apidya and Turrican. Well above average in the PD and Coverdisk world. (apparently it used the Turrican II engine)
A really bad game. Shitty graphics. 6 (!) years after Super Mario Bros for the NES they present us such leveldesign? Controls are terrible. The main char is half of the time out of screen. But it has beautiful music. And quite nice SFX with speech samples. This game is a dissapointment compared to even PD games of the time. The Adventures of Quik and Silva->Trash

Btw, Amiga was far better than c64 !
Wasn't this a freebie on a mag cover? Absolute corker of a game. Loved it then, love it now (thank you emulator creators!)
Here lies all of the sonic enemies
