The 78132 homes are all newer, but they track homes built by your big track home builders. 98% of the homes built in the city (78130) are custom homes. There is a HUGE quality of construction difference. Also please don't move here if you are a liberal democrat.

I am moving there from Las Vegas....but I am as Red as Rudoph's Nose! I am moving to get away from Nevada that has become Californicated! I am praying like you are that most of the Californians moving out there are Conservative RED Voters....or I am wasting my money moving! Pray Texas stays Red......I will be doing my part!

I would be more worried about the Q Conservatives. They're the ones drumming up fake issues and stripping away rights. Those are the ones who shouldn't live here

It is, and I didn't grow up here. Really with the natural resources and all the city has to offer, plus strong schools, city services, friendly people. I was showing a family relocating here different communities in New Braunfels last few days, and on four different occasions, four different people in four different places said "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holiday" to them unsolicited.

Average residential electric bill is around $120/month. Keep in mind, that's the AVERAGE. Some lower, some higher

Summer is easily $200 plus but I’ve got a 3,000 sq ft home. Average is $120-150 outside summer months.
