The Acreage Build Starts Now! | Yard Geek Episode 1
The acreage build starts NOW!
It's time for me to get to work as the house is under construction! Over 1,700 yards of fill dirt were brought in, over 4 kilometres of wire run and I finally got my Bobcat and Tractor. The work officially begins!
Subscribe and come along for the ride as I show you every satisfying detail of the construction of my acreage! From building a custom detailing studio and shop, to building a new house...that's just the beginning! The projects only get bigger as I build one of the most beautiful, unique and epic acreages around!

It’s obvious you’ve put many hours of observation and planning into your property. I wish we’d had that opportunity when we built our house. We’d have brought in a lot more fill to cut down on water erosion. Great job Mitch, can’t wait to see more!
You have the best canadian life.
Your work ethic is very respectable.
I could watch a vid like this that was an hour long. We need longer vids!! Love this series!!!
1:34 I hadn't known what a backhoe is before this video. glad I learned this before finding myself in an embarrassing moment 🤣
Nice 👍🏼🙂

It's actually incredible the forward planning you did for this channel. You were collecting footage from two years ago! Your hard drive must be full to bursting! Is anybody wondering what Mike did 😆

I’m guessing Mike continued to increase the value of Tim Horton shares, and up the economy of yoga videos
Must be nice to have that kind of money. Good for you and your success.
Totally awesome and great that the dirt was free to take care of your landscaping needs, what a beautiful piece of property. Congratulations on all of it and your hard work and determination to accomplish everything.
Only 58 feet. I wish😂 my granary bought land in Arizona up north. He had a well drilled. It was 740ft deep. Then he hit an aquifer. Best water I've ever drank. Still runs to this day. Can fill a 4000gal water tank in 2hrs. Good luck to you Mitch.
These are the best videos ever! Thanks for sharing this with us😅
Your such a good man❤ whom ever marries you is very lucky❤❤
Barrow some goats and weed it naturally 😊 they can get rid of everything with out chemicals. I’m not not here to get crazy about round up but goats are definitely better 🐐 and so cute 🥰
That was amazing Beautiful well planned job ❤ HARD work too. But I truly admire your dedication, ability and stamina
That was good stuff. Thank You for sharing.
Why am I getting so invested in this? lol Good stuff
Mitch, this is awesome! This is the start of an amazing homestead channel if you so desire. The potential of the leftover land is huge! Get yourself some goats, pigs, cows, chickens or a combination of all four, and start your own self sufficient home! I'll get a passport and come help if you want! lol. This is the start of a great channel if you continue it! Show us the whole journey and progress of the new land! I'll be here every step of the way!
The best being tired and just plane "done" for the day feeling is working in your own yard.
A lot of hard work but at the end it's going to look amazing
As someone who parks my car as far away from other cars in a parking lot as possible, won't drive it to places where I can't do that, I can feel your pain for what they did to your tractor.

Average American dreams of a pool or basketball court in their yard, average Canadian dreams of a hockey rink.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Honestly never thought I’d get so much enjoyment out of watching you build the acreage up and talking about what your plans are. Keep working hard bro, you earned it!💪🏼💪🏼

Another great channel
Someone’s been shopping 👀👍🏽
Wow Mitch love this channel and the work you have done its going to look amazing. Love the layout and the size of the property nothing like having your own space.
I’m looking forward to more videos!!
Mr. Mitch, truly a testament to hard work and planning and the blessings that come from it. It was interesting to see the neighbors have flooding issues on their properties well. I am guessing they have probably become used to flooding on their own land. ;-) That was pretty wild. I am looking forward to seeing your progress. Prayers for your safety, discernment, and joy with all you do! God bless! ~John

Oh so you got tree money huh!? haha cant wait to see more! your hard work will definitely pay off!
Wow what a blessing to get all that dirt for free! Your one awesome and very wise business man Mitch I must say!
I love clean looking plots. on a funny note, Europe is kinda going the other way. they're more and more listing to environmentalists and push for not cutting back overgrow. they say, this is like a hotel for insects and such and can help with-I dunno; nothing I'm an expect at, but has to do with the environment, as I got it. so, about four or five years ago, they pretty much stopped mowing the grass on the side of the road. and actually ask land owners to leave the grass higher (or at least to create "islands" of uncultivated patches. I dislike it, but that's where things developed towards. so, I wouldn't be too surprised for such bylaws to change again at one point.
So well edited and informative. Great speaker too

Magical! Looking forward to watching this series!
That was amazing! So much work! I am envious of the ice rink. Very cool! Can’t wait to see more!
👍
I strongly recommend rain water collecting, maybe in just a few small rain barrels or even a underground cistern. For the size of the land i recommend you 10-50 m³ (353-1756 cubic feet) of volume and also a dripping system of slow but not so much evaporating water distribution.
Hey Mitch, You are doing amazing work, keep it up along with your muscles!!!😉❤️ Always Amazing!!!🎉

Looks pretty good! If you haven’t planted grass yet, you should rent a harley rake for the skid steer to get the rocks out if their is any.

Mitch you are an Awesome and very smart chap. The amount of work you do yourself is a real credit to you! One question? How on earth do you fit everything in? Including transforming vehicles? You really amaze me 😊
I hope next spring all the calculations to fix your drainage works out. I imaging it is a bit frustrating to have to wait a whole year to find out for sure if it works out as planned or not.

from what I can tell, this is about the best kept secret on this channel. no sight of anyone aside Mitch; well, his lazy twin Mike; but he doesn't really count, lol. there's not even a subtle hint. which means, this is by design! which further means, it's nothing he wants to share and we probably need to accept and respect this. also watching him for dunno, a year or so, the enormous size of his newly built house is the first somewhat harder evidence that it's highly unlikely, he built this all for himself alone, lol. I mean, he built an entire house right next to his studio without anyone noticing anything: *that's* how good he's with hiding stuff.
Great job! Keep up the good work!

i dont know if you know about FRENCH DRAINS but its a method of taking care of drainagre situations and if you have not heard opf them i highly recommend you check into them even if you are finished for the time being because if the drainage isnt fixed right you will have to deal with it again and again till its right.,. anyway have a great day
