I think that interview solidifies the fact that new Star Wars isn't for fans, it's for creators who want to do whatever they want to make their own fantasies come true. I'm not here for that. Unfortunately, that's where the majority of our entertainment is going.

Keep in mind, the Bible keeps examples of what we should do and what we shouldn’t do. Did anybody notice that she went to see "craftsmen" when she needed something done right that others could not do?

It is another disaster in the making for too many reasons that I have given in other posts elsewhere. Identity politics agenda narrative propaganda being the main focus of the show with production values and character development story all secondary, and that identity politics being thrust in our faces overtly and aggressively, as opposed to simply happening organically, as one big reason. I am expecting this show to crater when it is released.

my favorite comment: "you don't need to know anything about Star Wars to enjoy this series." LOL they're REALLY hoping the audience never saw the originals, prequels, Roque One, Andor....any of the "GOOD" Star Wars that will outshine this series. Disney has purposely been trying to drive fans away, especially the OT fans. But they've never captured new fans. More of the same. I have a 12 year old son, and he and his friend groups NEVER talk about Star Wars.

I punished Disney's direction and recent shows by canceling my subscription to Disney Plus back in February.

Problem is a lot of these younger people just don’t care either. They’d rather watch 30 second TikTok vids than most anything else. It’s why the 21 and younger movie audience attendance has been steadily dropping off a cliff. Disney thinks this “other” group of fans exists that they just need to tap, but there isn’t one. The very ones who keeps telling them to stop doing it...

Only in the end credit scene and it was on screen for probably less than 10 seconds because Darth Maul decided that he needed to ignite it for no reason during his Holo call other than to show it off like he just got it from mommy and daddy as a Christmas present or something.

She’d have an idea, get roundly rejected by everyone else in the room (apparently she was creatively incompetent), and then those with actual talent would get the job done. The most you might be able to give her credit for is keeping track of stuff making sure it got done. Her track record while being in charge suggests otherwise, but if she was completely worthless, she’d have been replaced by a series of interns (and frankly should have been).

I'd like to know where they thought this was going to go. The damage done with this kind of production time after time now hasn't helped them in the slightest. If anything the terrible writing and low grade production has done even more damage than if they had just made a mediocre series since they appear to intentionally be pursuing malicious development. Even if one just looks at the Kenobi series on its own with absolutely no knowledge of SW, it still comes off as a dedicated terrible mess. With all of that being said, they're intentionally pushing this in the same vein... How did they see this playing out? No seriously.

I believe you're right. This was originally proposed as a movie. But after the Sequel disasters, they pulled back and redirected this to a series. The movies got axed, along with Rian's and D&D's movies.

When the prop department said "no" - I'm sure she was very polite and reasonable about it - like she says in the interview. I am pretty sure then she went to the marketing department, sat down with them for a meal and scared them into using her prop.

I ditched Disney+ and am so glad that I did so.

I watched "The Wonderful World of Disney" for years when I was a kid and loved it. I couldn't wait to get Disney+. Now... I don't know if I will ever watch another Disney show.
