I was waiting for this. I’m kickstarting the campaign for Manny Jacinto as Doctor Victor Von Doom here and now. Perfect Star Wars episode, no notes, give Jacinto all the franchises.

Writers was telegraphing Qimir as Mae's Sith master from the beginning and henceforth, but knowing the Star Wars community's deep divers would over-analyze with wild conspiracy theories and overlook what is in front us all along. Showrunners were gaslighting us with the possibilities of a false red herring.

It seems obvious to me that Mother Koril is going to end up being Qimir's master. I think Lesley confirmed we'd get 2 sith in the show. Koril obviously controlled Mae to go after OSHA in the fire and is influencing their minds in the present with the visions and whatnot. Idk, we'll see

Possible Qimir wasn’t trying to kill Osha when he threw his lightsaber and he was doing it to draw Sol out.

That was a risky gamble if true because Darth Quip's shoto-attached saber was just a meter from splitting Osha's spine.

Do you think Quimir is trying to eliminate either Mar or Osha because of their connection? Now that I’ve seen your commentary it is making me wonder. Thanks for your take on this episode.

What do we already know about the Sith? Are fueled by anger, promised promotion, require obedience, want to operate outside of rules. Mae is a warrior of vengeance while Osha is more of a defender of peace. I think Quimir is their brother raised by the paternal source...he has Mae's mind..now he is after Osha's. He wants to collect both girls for a triad of power 🔼.

I think the training of children/teens by the Jedi and taking them on missions shouldn't be equivocated to our reality. I think we have to accept a certain amount of mythic storytelling considering the reality of The Force in the SW universe. "You brought her here," Is a great Sith antagonizing the Jedi line. Qimir knows that the do-gooder Jedi will feel worse about bringing Jecki (to the place she is killed) than Qimir would feel about killing a thousand Jecki's. Not to mention Qimir would train and sacrifice any number of young force users to his own selfish ends. Ultimately, it's a poor what-about-ism, but it is effective against the Jedi who are caring and want to do right.

Mae flip-flopped harder than Osha's stun blaster. EDIT: This episode was great, but the story inconsistencies are still there. I love the theory crafting, but it's theory crafting predicated upon the story being of top quality and it's just not. This show is so close to being really well done, but there are some real, "Ani, my how you have grown" moments in this show and other inconsistencies. Just like Fett, Kenobi, and S3 of Mando. Also, if you talk about him healing Osha you have to talk about how dumb the line is where he says, "You've seen my face and now I have to kill all of you is." The writing is so bad at times.

@@DaringDan it genuinely feels like they had a bunch of people write scenarios and then picked them out of a hat without making sure they aligned. So disappointing. The concept and overall story had so much potential and they showed in episode 5 they were capable of producing really excellent fights with the perfectly dark tone. And then they go back to Mae’s completely nonsensical arc in yet another cheesy / really awkward dialogue moment with Osha… and Osha stays just getting her ass handed to her.. I get she’s having some blockage with the Force, but we’re 5 episodes in and she’s still totally useless. Even Mae hasn’t seemed like she’s anything special. Given their backstory in episode 3, I would’ve expected both (or at least Mae, as Osha is blocked) to be really formidable.

While the action was great this episode highlighted also highlighted all my problems with the show. This is what the tone for the show should have been all along and it wasn’t. For it to have taken in my opinion 5 episodes more than half your season to get to this both in tone action character and enjoyment is unacceptable to me. Also again while the action was great I feel like a lot of people are letting that carry the episode where there was glaring writing and character issues this episode. Osha suddenly stopping Sol from strike if down Quimir and playing moral highground when just last episode which takes place in the same day in universe she is giving Yord the ok to kill her sister because she killed Jedi and needs to be put down, but the guy with the red lightsaber who killed 8 Jedi including 2 of your friends is different? Osha being so I tune with the bugs last episode and mourning their death yet in this episode sends them to die against Qimir without a second thought except saying bye to her droid(Also as you pointed out Qimir takes out 8 Jedi like nothing but is defeated by bugs what is this Kang in Quantummania) than there’s Mae who flip flops again this episode which again is still in the same day as episode 4 from I will turn myself in and am done killing Jedi to I will resist arrest from Jecki attack my sister pull another parent trap and try to kill Sol. Like the action was great but just highlighted all the bad writing and characterization the show has when it would cut away from the battle to either of the twins and the editing with way too many wipes geez.
