Agreed. Back when the Last Jedi was released I pointed out that it's the least diverse of all the films in terms of main characters, all the rest had non-humans (aliens or droids) as important characters. Sci-Fi and fantasy fans are the least prejudice people you can find, we've can envision all types of species working together or tolerating each other's differences. Anyone still stuck on human skin color is 10 light years behind in their thinking

To play devils advocate, maybe those girls were the reason jedi can't be trained at that age anymore. This show does take place in the past and they seem to be pushing that Jedi go by different rules then the ones we are used to (even though they still don't follow those same rules in the show [jedi never pull out a lightsaber unless they are ready to kill! And dude uses it as a Lantern in the next episode lol.] I think they had some okay ideas but it's all horrible execution. That chant the witches did made me laugh my ass off.

Someone needs to leak their writers meetings. We need this entertainment as a nation. For now we can only imagine they design a modern diverse character, their costume for 5 hours, then fantasize about their alternative sex life for 2 hours 55 minutes and then work on the plot for the remaining 5 minutes

They're saying it's ok to force kids to be what you want them to be, as long as it supports their agenda but other people are BAD for forcing kids to be something that DOESN'T support their agenda. These are, after all, the same people who say "Every voice should be heard" and then ensure there are no white males allowed to voice an opinion, and are also quick to cancel anyone who disagrees with them. What they really mean by "Every voice" is "Every voice (that agrees with me) should be heard". Those who disagree are evil and wrong, so have nothing valid to add and their opinions can be ignored rather than compromised with.

Technically they allow Osha to make her own decisions but warn her if she passes the test she would be taken away. The empowering group in the episode is definitely the Jedi though, when they encourage Osha to be true to herself and do the test honestly, which I feel was probably counterproductive to how they wanted us to feel about the episode

It's obvious this series is not being created out of a desire to tell a great story...it is being created out of spite. Nothing more. Those tweets prove it. Kathleen Kennedy has ruined Lucas's world. Disney bought the 2 biggest cash cows, Marvel and Star Wars, and instead of staying the course and printing money, they decided to pander to less than 1% of the audience and are stunned that it's all failing. They could've fixed this but instead of acknowledging the actual problem they make up reasons and attack the fan base. Bravo Disney! You played yourself, and I couldn't be happier watching them all squirm and rant.

They can call it a different name but it should still be the same force with the same properties as established in canon and as used by the Jedi and the Sith for thousands of years. What they did here is change it fundamentally, they changed its powers, its properties the very philosophy of what the force is all about. This is a complete destruction of the core pillars of the original lore and worldbuilding of Star Wars.

This is the setup to retcon that Darth Vader was a lesbian baby

Cause the Nightsisters of Dathomir, and their "Legends" lore was significantly better than this crap, and it's what they COMPLETELY ripped off in the shallowest of ways, without paying the authors that came up with that idea in the first place, while they continue on pretending these are all their own ideas, and they still suck at writing, and make bad stories that don't make any sense, even when they partially rip off the good ideas that were already done.

The Acolyte was awful. The script was not well written. The acting had the feel of a high school musical. The concept of the force being a thread was not well explained. The best part of the entire thing was hanging out in chat during a watch party.

Exactly this, it was the EU that kept interest in Star Wars alive at all during the decade long stint in between Films ,and instead of thanking the EU Writers whose work was in many cases brilliant ( Thrawn Trilogy for example) they kicked them in the teeth and to the curb. DISNEY in fact would have made BILLIONS had they just picked up the Star Wars ball and ran with it by making films out of the best of the EU Novels - but instead they didnt do that and went with The Rey/ The Last Jedi trainwreck.,and it has gone downhill ever since by putting a chick in it and making it lame and gay.

Yep. the EU wasn't perfect but Lucasfilm books kept it somewhat in the realm of continuity. There was enough of a backbone there to pilfer great ideas from for 20 years. Instead they scraped it so superficially. Even Filoni did Thrawn wrong.
